I really like Dana, and wish him sucess, but he still has to grow as a head coach. Let me explain. After we scored to tie the game, we have some momentuem, what do we do on the kickoff, try some kind of pooch kick that goes out of bounds. We give them the ball on the 35, instead of back at the 20. Later they have a 4&1 I think that was just inside the 50. With a normal kickoff they don;t go for that 1st down in their own side of the field. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Dana in charge of special teams now? It's the little things like that that lose you tight games.

That is not too egregious in my mind. Dana was outcoached, but it was in the off-season. Dana does not seem to value discipline or focusing on consistent execution. He didn't seem to have a good plan for fixing the ST problem that has plagued over half of his WVU tenure. He has to rely too heavily on JUCO or transfers as development of raw talent is lacking under his watch. Recruiting isn't great either, making the need to really develop and coach the best out of his players is all the more important.

Which side is everyone on on the 4th and 18 decision? personally I felt like you have a better chance to punt the ball and stop them 3 and out. We had 3 timeouts. 4th and 18 is pretty hard to pick up

1. Unless the Staley kid was hurt, made no sense to put Molina in to do whatever he was trying to do. I agree.
2. Overall, on recruiting- I understand Dana went after more jc transfers because we were lacking in recruiting. But that seems like it’s catching up to us. We don’t seem to have near the quality depth I thought we had.
Some issues with depth at db/cb and wr.
Staff only trusts 3-4 wrs in close games. We’re starting a true frosh at cb. Even seem to lack quality depth at lb.

I'm sure you do not really believe that Dana instructed the kicker to kick the ball out of bounds. However, the best of what you say leads directly yo that conclusion. Idiocy at its finest!
