they have never played together before. Disjointed passing, careless errors and no point guard. Brooks, Askew, Boston and Jackson maybe had 6 field goals between them. Did Askew even score?

NO PG...all could have been esolved had Cal brought in someone other than a HS 2g and a Creighton 7th man 2g

Im not sure how a team can consistently go scoreless for 8 minute stretches but UK find a way this year.

Outscored 18-5 in last 4:00

I’m not sure a team could do worse than that even if they tried to lose on purpose

I’m not sure he even attempted a shot

We never have over 2 guys on the floor at one time that can score, you can't win many games like that. There was several times tonight when we couldn't get it to either one of them and the shot clock got us. The other times we had just one guy on the floor that could score and he couldn't hit, not to mention all of the times we threw it away.

They seem to choke at the worst times, multiple turnovers in last two minutes killed us. They just looked overwhelmed at the end.

They really haven't. Compare our roster with AL's. AL's guys have basically grown up together. One freshman plays period. All Seniors with a couple of Juniors, a RS sophomore and a true sophomore.

Its a horrendously constructed team. Start with PG, Mintz could be solid as a 3rd or 4th guard, playing 15-20 minutes off the bench and hitting threes. Instead we rely on him to be our only creator, and he just can't do that. Askew is just not good enough to play at all, he shouldn't be on the roster. If that's because he should still be a senior in HS, then Cal should have figured that out when he was recruiting.

On the wing, Boston and Clarke are the same player, and neither can shoot. Neither are good decision makers and neither is strong with the ball. But hey, 6-7! Long arms! Cal fooled again. Allen can stroke it but he can't create for himself. If he had a Fox or SGA creating for him, he'd be deadly every night. Obviously we have nothing like that.

Then the front court, lol. A mish mash of the same player over and over. Its not that any of them are particularly bad, but there are FIVE of them (six including Fletcher) who expect to play. So at all times we have 2 of them on the floor, taking up space and trying to post up, because Cal has decided that's the key to offensive basketball in 2021. Why is Sarr even on the roster? We already had 4 of him. You'd think with all this size we could at least offensive rebound our way to some wins a la 2014, too bad none of them could hold Randle's jock.

This is every bad outcome of the way Cal recruits and builds a roster on one team, a failure from top to bottom. $10 million.

This season was over weeks ago. No point of getting all tore up. Cal ain't leavong and next year will likely look a lot like this year. New names, new faces....same agaonizing results.
Not watching these games is really the best decision I've made in a while.

That’s what many of us want at UK. We will never have it or anything close to it as long as Calipari keeps the revolving door policy and coaching to put players into the NBA.

I don't mind 1 OAD (or maybe 2 if one is a superfreak Big like Jackson), but I don't want freshmen relied on for shooting and scoring. It's a recipe for failure. And by the time these kids get acclimated to the college game they're gone. Take the high skilled lower ranked recruit that you can develop into the really good college player.
