I really don't think CML puts much stock in a QBs size. He's had all body types and succeeded with them. I know we hear it all too often, but it truly seems to be about the reading, processing and accuracy.

Yeah not sure what you mean here. I don't see any reason to intentionally target short or small QBs. Height and speed are generally ALWAYS better.

Reminds me of those folks who can't make a distinction between a great drop-back passer and a great drop-back passer who can run. They suddenly want to call the guy dual-threat (which he would be), but that doesn't mean he can't pass. Cam Newton is a great example. Donovan McNabb. Joe Burrow. Dak too for that matter. The ability to run is always a plus.

6'4", 180 lb (thin) but it looks like he can really throw the ball. 4.94 GPA, which means the kid is taking a lot of advanced placement couses. He's exactly what I like to see - he could qualify for an academic scholarship as well, it seems.

Lovertich is listed at 5'11" and watching him on the sideline the other night if he's 5'11" we've got a bunch of really tall people on our team. LOL

And yes....Braedyn Locke is only 6'1" 195 #. So 57stratdawg should be pretty happy with that. A little shorter QB

Jr. stats online had him at 6'1' last year He may gain another inch or two. I sure we hope he does and we could fellas

I liked what I saw when he played and am comfortable with him as an above average back up QB but compared to the other guys he just doesn't look 5'11. Now if you want to see what a short State QB can do...look up Tommy Pharr. Lovertich's height doesn't bother me one bit especially in this scheme.

A recent article I read says he is 6'0" / 180#. Really good looking QB, accurate with mobility and can throw a dart and has long range accuracy. Like the fact that he doesn't mind throwing outside the pocket even though he is considered a pro-style QB. His highlights are impressive because his opponents are Texas class 6A which sends a lot of D1 players to the next level.
