is offensive. We fell apart last night and against Vandy when being pressed. Look as if we never saw one before.

#1 rule is have your smartest player inbound the ball.

#2 rule, don't stand under the basket as a passer or receiving the pass, UK has broken that several times (specifically in Vandy game)

#3 rule watching UK games-do what they did to get Quickley ball against Ole Miss and what they did to get it to Nick/Then Quickley against LSU.

#4 rule-ATTACK until holding/getting fouled helps with clock. UK is usually great at this aspect so no criticism there.

Only area I get frustrated is UK players throwing sloppy passes when the team has timeouts left--especially late in a game-1 min or less. Use the timeouts if needed.

Right on the money.

This is a good thing that it surfaced now - we won both games and can work on it instead of it popping up for the first time in the post season and us losing because we weren't prepared. We'll get this fixed.

The lineup that was pressed had never worked on press break.

It was a grab bag lineup and it showed and PG was out injured.

Timeout called, subbed in, problem solved.

You’re welcome.

I can’t imagine the team will struggle with 3 pgs. I’m sure they hadn’t practiced against it. Probably didn’t expect to be up by 15, dominating, and forcing LSU to become desperate.

Beating the press is the least of my concerns.

I was crapping my pants when brooks was inbounding the ball.

Also we were trying to run clock so weren't attacking the basket. Big difference as most times this year a press leads to dunks for us.

Looked awful against Vandy and Lsu. And should have expected press. Bet we see more in future.

Not having your PG in the game is going to make any team struggle against a press.

What surprised me was how confused Nate was. Even if he never played in a press with these players before, his experience should have accounted for more than just holding the ball over his head and throwing it away twice. I mean, his experience is probably why Cal had him in there, just so that he wouldn't make a bone headed decision like that.

We were pressed 12 times and got the ball across easily 10 of them. The only 2 turnovers was when Sestina threw it away back to back possessions. So that's pretty damn good if you ask me

I hope we see more press because it will mean they are way behind again or bad coaches.

I hope it was just lack of seeing much full court pressure. The fact is, we regularly play with 3 "PG" on the floor. Teams will run, but pressing against us seems like it would be playing into our hands now. Earlier in the year, maybe. But not now. So if we pressure late season I suspect it will only be late game or short spurts here and there.

Plus in a closer situation we might have have seen Cal sub Sestina and Brooks outside vs. the pressure a tad quicker. I know he was loving Nate's scoring and tenacity, but he was loose, or at least wobbly, with the ball more than just the 2 turnovers. Cal recognized and stopped the bleeding. We routinely see lesser teams crumble on the road anyway. This one did not.

Here's to hoping we have yet to see the Cats best game this season.

They need to work on it with one of the three guards not in the line up at all times to see how they respond with either Hagan's, Quickly or Maxey out. If they are all three in the game I'm not worried but we panicked Tuesday night. That is not going to be the only time this year one of them will be out with foul trouble or hurt like the other night when Hagan's was out
