Our fans are weak

Your premise is wrong. Fans are not quitting , they get discouraged, big difference

And that will happen with any fan base, they get discouraged when their team looks bad and goes down 20 points

I am happy with our season overall and think we have won more games than expected up to this point.

I also think that the few shortcomings on our team have been exposed and taken advantage of lately, which is why a team like Northwestern gave us so much trouble, and Ohio state had so many wide open threes

I would not be shocked if we don’t make the tourney at this point, but there would be every reason to be optimistic for the future. Which is plenty reason to stay on the bandwagon, go to games and cheer on the team
I’ve seen numerous fans talk about the NIT and “well it’s been a nice season.” Hell, someone made a thread saying this is the ceiling with Pike. Yeah, I’m fine with getting discouraged, but I don’t want to hear NIT talk

Are most teams 1-8? No one is saying it’s easy to win on the road but we clearly look different on the road vs home.
Point is saying it is coaching is not the answer because not many B1G teams win on the road. What is your number of road wins to say it is not in coaching? To me there is no magical number.

How can it not be coaching? I mean who is going to fix it? Players or coaching? This is not a negative knock on Pike. We all agree it's difficult to win on the road. Pike needs to get the kids to play our game and keep grinding. You can tell it's in our players' head. just look at the end of the 1st half. after they gave up the 3 everyone just went gave up when there was 6 secs on the clock.

Same coaching that has us this close to winning on the road compared to seasons past where we got our doors blown off. Again have to look at where the expectations were to start the season. Missed FTs are on the players. All it would take is a few more made and we no longer only have 1 win on the road

I'm with you, but we should be favored in the next two games and maybe even at home against Maryland.

Right now we are a NCAA team. We either play our way into it, or play our way out of it
With the remaining games

Some fans look at the remaining schedule and don’t see enough wins left to get in, and are basing that on our recent play which has been uneven to say the least

I can understand that view, and fans are allowed their opinion, even if it goes against yours

Let the team prove them wrong

I am hopeful but I believe it is now an uphill battle.

Most people on this board would have
Signed up for the NIT before the season started.

Jesus we have the weakest fans. Guess what guys, we’re the underdog in almost every game from here on out. Seriously, the real fans here don’t need the quitters. Go home. Six games left before the B1G and we have the toughest schedule in the country. This is going to be a rocky road. We may lose a few in a row. But I wouldn’t want it any other way. Seriously, fans are quitting because we lost to OSU?!? We’ll bounce back
I find a number of fan base, at least online, not weak, but not understanding of sports. You can see how many never played sports on any real level. They simply don't know what they are seeing or watching. Low sport IQ.

Saying that you don’t think Rutgers is a lock for the NCAAs if they finish 2-6 down the stretch doesn’t make anyone a bad fan.

Saying ZOMG the committee will never select a team with <20 wins doesn't make you a bad fan either. It just makes you stupid.
