Yes, but since duke will find their way into the top 5 after beating number 7 Virginia they will automatically qualify as a number 1 seed and be in our bracket

There is little to no separation between any of the top 20 teams this year. Seeding will be irrelevant. The only teams I would prefer we not have to match up with would be Purdue and UNC being that they have physical post players.

Really? I am not really fearful of any team either but to say that out of all the 1 seeds you want Kansas makes you sound like those UL fans last year that wanted another piece of us in the tourney (which they do every year). Honestly, give me that fraud Maryland. They are the weakest 1 seed and may be the weakest 2 or 3 seed depending on where they end up.

Kansas has a pretty complete team and plays really good backcourt defense. If we meet them again so be it, but I'd rather face the michigan st., maryland, villanova, xavier type teams than Kansas again.

i think we get maryland or unc. the ncaa will surely put the guard heavy top team in our region. duke imo is a good team vs most but if they couldn't handle ulis/briscoe/murray the first go the ncaa will not punish them further imo. i rather play these teams than msu or ku frankly. not afraid they just match up better. valentine would be a handful for briscoe or willis, and ku can shoot over us at two positions it seems. both play good d too.

if we get the good guard teams or whoever like villanova, iu, providence, maryland, i really think our team takes them to school. unc would be tighter and i think the ncaa wants that one too.

I really want the Cats to get to play in Louisville. Don't care who they have to play as long as we play in Louisville.

That is not going to happen, though. Louisville is the last place the committee would put us, IMHO.

please be Kansas!! Anyone with me?
Won't happen - why? UK is going to be a one seed! When we win out - we have as few losses as any top 4 team. We will have won the SEC Championship both in regular season and tourney. We are playing together at the right time. Just watch - we will be ranked as high as #12 this week. Three more weeks to go. We continue to win - we gain 2-4 spots each week. Of course that is IF we win out!

Go Big Blue!

Seeding is relevant in that the 1 seeds typically play pretty bad teams that first game. 2 seeds almost as bad.

It won't make much difference once you get to the Sweet Sixteen this year, but it is much easier to get there starting from the 1 or 2 slot.

We're gonna win out and get a 2 seed. Bet.
New World. If we do win out - we will be a number 1. Only 12 teams currently have fewer losses than we do - all but one has 4 losses. Many of them will play other good teams and will probably lose at least two games. Now consider this - teams that lose two or more games will have lost 2 of their last 10 games. If Kentucky wins out that means that will have won their last 10. The NCAA looks at both body of work, rpi and how teams faired in their last 10 games. Incidentially, UK and Indiana could very well be in the same bracket. IU is now leading the Big 10.

That's what I think too, I just figured by saying that everybody would start trippin LMAO. But that's my belief too. It will be hard to win out, but the way we're playing its possible. A@M is sucking bad right now, and LSU CANT beat us at this point.

UK Johnny, why did you change your board name? You never did say.

UK Johnny??? As in that UK Johnny 24 cat? Man he got banned for like, threating/taunting/using gay slurs at a Kansas fan I think. But he's probably here posting under some other name and avatar by now. Yeah....I'm sure he's around here somewhere.

The NCAA stopped looking at the last 10 games a few years ago. No more weight is now given to the last 10 games than is given to the first 10 games or middle 10 games.

Villanova all the way.

UK fans finding out they drew Nova as the #1 seed in their region.

I love the Cats and I want nothing but the best but I am not sure there is a team in cbb this year capable of running the table the last month before Madness starts. I hope I'm wrong about the Cats but I am just not seeing that consistency from anyone night after night.

Some say I used to have an account with 15000+ posts and got banned for making a Jerry Tipton joke, allegedly...it happens to the best of us...allegedly.
I would think you would be placed in in Rupp Rafters HOF for that !

Great assessment, but if ever there's a year for a 16 to make the second round, this is it.

We want a #2 or #3 Seed in the South Region in Louisville. That gives us another shot in getting to another Final Four in the South Region in Louisville.
