• Conference USA is finalizing a new deal with CBS and ESPN that reportedly will result in an annual fee that will be a fraction of its previous agreement. Fox and CBS had been paying Conference USA about $14 million a year combined, but Ourand says the new deal with CBS and ESPN will result in each network paying the conference about $1 million per year.

Did John Kerry take a break from negotiating the Iran nuke deal to do yours too? $150,000/per?

And the race to complete mediocrity begins.....Marshla will have to make FB & BB club league sports, play KY nad OH teams due to short (re: cheap) travel distances.......sad really.

If only the tax payers of WV had even more money to waste on Marshla....sadly they don't either.

Weren't they talking conference smack to us a couple days ago?

I guess that Marshall isn't a national brand that the whole country is rooting for. Remember when that was the claim?

Still more votes for back to back to back years. :scream:

Votes.... hahahahahahaha. With your amount of wins, you should be talking rank. If WVU hit 10 wins ans wasn't ranked, I'd want a new AD ASAP. If you want to be nitpicky, you could mention that we were ranked after three games with a win over a better B10 opponent than you(and a ton more impressive). That is too nitpicky though.

Being completely honest, I am suprised that Marshall fans aren't furious with CUSA for letting something like that go down. Seriously, why even play?

looks like a lot more car washes at the barboursville mall....and the football players will have to increase meth prices to make up the difference.....OR...they can threaten to boycott the State of West Virginia[banana].....OR......pop gun could sell some of those expensive awards he has won for coaching up all those NFL QB's that he claims he "tutored"[roll]

Just can't win against WVU.....damn that's got to be so frustrating. Marshall is having their greatest baseball season ever in Cusa and is 0-2 against the Flagship...lol

But, Seriously...! 2mm for the whole conference? Why have a conference? MAC members are way better respected. Well, basically CUSA is the Sunbelt Conference so I can see your lack of appeal. But, 2mm?! That's totally embarrassing. I'd belly crawl back to the MAC with hat in hand and beg for forgiveness. If not, you'll have to leave G5. There's no way you can sustain an athletic program on $150,000 plus ticket(lol) and popcorn sales. The networks must have told you to go "f" yourself as they laughed and said, '2 million. No one wants to watch you'. B12 members, each, make over 10x what your conference as a whole makes! And, that's just on tier 1. Geeeezz

Market forces have spoken regarding the quality of the product they are getting from CUSA
