I can't believe I just watched Riley celebrate on the sidelines.
I put a lot on conservative play calling. They were playing fast and aggressive and it worked. Let them play Mike!...I mean Grinch.
Neither team deserved to win but I got so sick of announcers sucking on Ehlingers *** late in the game like he was some Joe Montana. Riley put the D in that position.
this game wore me out big time but I am still pissed at the final 5-1/2 minutes. This team may win out by luck but it wont be because they are that good. I was talking to a Texas friend and he said it best. “ We both suck”

Mead. Of all the players Mead was the first one to grab the golden hat and put it on. Not Rattler, not Brown, fking Mead.
Mead is not an elite linebacker by any measure, but he works hard and should be entitled to celebrate with his team.

No joke in his postgame interview it looked like he had tears in his eye? He sees things in a much different way than the fans do I guarantee you that. unfortunately.
So what ? He just won a tough game over his main rival. It was an emotional win for OU.
I like him carrying the ball, but he's a big liability in pass protection. Even small linebackers run over him when they blitz. He's not likely to be consistent on the goal line, and he's awfully small to be reliable as a pass receiver, but as a zone read runner, he's pretty effective between the 15 yard lines. And with the freshman hurt, he's the best we got.
Pledger's nose for gaining extra yards is great. He can run well inside behind the big boys in front of him.
