Same prediction I made over in CC,

47-23 OU

I still think OUs offense starts off a bit slow in the 1st Qtr, but then gets on a roll and has a great day. With Tulsa's offense I think they will have some success, but OU limits them to about half their season average so far. OUs secondary gets a good test, and will invariably have a few breakdowns with facing such an offense, but overall makes the plays to win the game quite comfortably.

I am going with 55-21 Sooners...get a kick return TD and the Perine-Mixon effect pushes the ball across the goal line often. This even with Darlington sitting out the bulk of the game as he recovers.

Good guess storm. I just know we are in trouble for the year if we score in the low numbers most are predicting. We'll see..................

The TU board posters are calling for a bigger blow out than most of the posters on this thread. Jeez, they barely beat FAU, a team no where close to Akron. I get the concern with the improved TU offense, but look at their defense. It's ranked in the bottom of the nation. I believe 119. We blow them out at home.........

These types of comparisons are generally irrelevant.
Kinda like leading up to the Tennessee game, a couple posters on here kept referring to the stats of how many yards Bowling Green had thrown against Tennessee as evidence that OUs passing game would have a field day against Tennessee's defense. Ended up, the stats from the Tenn/Bowling Green game were completely irrelevant in regards to forecasting what would transpire between OU and Tenn.
Equally so, you can't say that just because another team scored "X" amount of points against Tulsa, that OU it will automatically guarantee OU will match it or surpass it.

It's about who we have available or not. And a likely little let down. We'll see.

But I've heard rumors that both Striker and Byrd will sit at least a little, tomorrow. That makes for a very different defense. And a center who likely has taken less than 15 game snaps there ever, and few anywhere. Tulsa has the capability to score a little. OUr beating them is not a big effort priority. Their beating OU would darn near make their season.

Lots of little adversities this week. Just hoping they don't turn into big adversities.

This year's OU team isn't an awe-inspiring, terrifying football monster. It better be a big effort priority or we'll get our asses kicked.

At this point in the season, it really kinda reminds of that 2000 team. ;)
I know we are only 2 games into the season, but damn I really feel good about this team after the Tenn game. That game showed this team has a ton of heart, kinda like that 2000 team.

OU is favored by 30. Sooners will do better than that. Would even be worse except for late 4Q TU scores against 2nd and 3rd teamers.

54 - 23 OU

Seems that good team chemistry is a must to win a NC anymore. Athleticism and skill alone cannot get it done. I agree with you Billy, about the feel of this season. A very difficult November lurks.

I was hoping they would show his "superman" leap in the '84 game @ Norman vs Nebby but it was not meant to be today.

As a pleasant surprise for work today, I managed to be done b4 8:00 & caught some of the evening games.
What a drag to see iowa win another last second game over Pitt. Loved the steers loss & what looks to be bama going down.

I Love this game !

Looks like Stuck In Del Rio got it the closest, as in Fairbanks being "close" to Miami.
41-24.

Stuck in Del Rio, whenever I see your name I think of the movie No Country for Old Men.
