we keep hearing on and off about OU and TU either joining the big 10 or OU the sec and TU to pack 12. Someone please explain why they would leave the cupcake big 12? Basically all OU has to do is beat TU and it’s almost a guarantee There in the playoffs

I just don't see it happening. I think the Big 10 would take them in a heartbeat for financial and competitive reasons alone, but I don't think Texas would want to give up their position in the Big 12 which is essentially the "big dog" who dictates policy to the rest of the conference.
I know everyone has bad memories of Texas in the Big 12, but I think the recruiting exposure in Texas would be a benefit to schools like NU. I believe NU has suffered in relation to schools like OSU and even Wisconsin playing so few games in its primary recruiting territory. I would even be willing to add Okie St if needed.
My point is especially ou has such a cupcake schedule there almost a lock on the playoffs every year, so why in the world would they ever want to join a tough league
Nebraska wanted out of the Big 12. OU and Texas won't want out until it implodes. I see OU going SEC and Texas Pac when it does implode.
