in the midst of perhaps the most exciting stretch of days in 4.5 years, we've still got a rival to vanquish on Saturday

here's hoping the boys can add to the catalogue of all-time highlights in this series - perhaps the greatest and most consequential of any rivalry in all of college football

My wife was a student and in the student section for this. She still says its the loudest and craziest she ever saw (we were there for MSU under Riley, the Alex Henry kick and OSU comeback too). I was stuck watching down the street at 32nd and Vine. Still possibly the most jumping around Ive done in a living room.

Also, I hate OU. There is no mutual respect. I hate them like I hate Mizzou, Iowa, Wisconsin and Texas. F-em

The Johnny Rodgers' punt return remains the signature play of this great rivalry.

Probably the most humorous moment was when Barry Switzer crashed the Bob Devaney prediction show back in 1980.

I'm just happy to be looking forward to a game again. The first 3 games this year I just wasn't. I couldn't enjoy the game with Frost as head coach.

Should be a good game. OU rivals board full of OU-Husker memories. And a lot of them are games OU lost but showed some spunk. '70, '78, '83, etc. I still remember the shock from 1959. So will be watching.

That '78 game cost OU a national championship. They fumbled the ball 9 times and lost 17-14.

Did you have to remind me? Painful. But Huskers deserved to win that one. Just like OU did in '84 when fourth and an inch and OU stopped the Huskers. Still cannot believe they ran it outside.

Supposedly the pitch play to Jeff Smith was an audible at the line of scrimmage, black 19 if I’m not mistaken.

If you read and believe in Husker/Sooner folklore, apparently the entire OU defense knew what black 19 meant, they knew all our audibles for sometime during the mid 80’s.

There’s even a rumor that they had a painter slash handyman inside memorial stadium taking notes on our practices while he worked.

Can’t vouch on whether any of it is true for sure, but I can tell you that it’s been mentioned in books and talked about amongst OU players.

It will be great to see the Sooners in Memorial Stadium once again.

Growing up OU ruined more Thanksgiving weekends for me than I care to remember. They were the team that I loved to hate. But to this day I still like watching them on TV when given the chance.

Here's to a good game and may the best team on Saturday win.

Beating the Sooners is all that matters. The idea that we need to be competitive is bs.

Going back to the '71 Game of the Century and a 35-31 Husker win... we all knew that was the real game for the national title, not our Orange Bowl game against 'Bama.

We beat The Tide 38-6 and OU would have destroyed them as well in that OB.

I like OU the best out of the teams you listed but that isn’t saying much.

Also, Colorado needs to be in your list!

Nebraska, Oklahoma and Colorado finished ranked 1-2-3 that year.

Does anyone believe that this will actually be a game?
I think it will be for a little bit but if you let up 650 and 48 to GSU, at home, I would have to think that even with a "good" game by the D, that OU you will get 500+ yards and 35+ points.
