and I loved every second of it...no team out there deserved every point of that then OU...
I remember feeling sorry for them during the Thanksgiving beatdown at their place. Amazing the 180 both programs have taken the last 20 years.

We will get there again. No clue it will be a National Title contender type level but we will get there again. OU had their down years and came back, Bama had their down years and came back, USC was down and came back and fell again. I have no doubt we will get back up again too. Blue Bloods always find away to come back...and it will happen for us too.

I haven't seen a no show like what Oklahoma did today since Elizabeth Warren released her DNA records.

While I appreciate this, games against Ohio State and Minnesota this year seem to ring a bell...

One of their worst ever.

I really thought the Sooners would play better. During the game I texted a good Husker friend that I’ve known since I moved to Nebraska the summer before my 8th grade year. I wrote him that the Huskers play D like they are still in the Big 12

I have rooted for Cheater U to lose since I was little. Nothing changed when Texas joined the Big 8. Sure, I didn't love how the B12 ended our storied rivalry with OU, but I suspect OU had a lot to do with that. OU wasn't voting to keep the status quo, the one where NU was handing them their worst losses on an annual basis. Texas will be Texas, but OU stabbed us in the back.

I totally agree, I could care less if we ever played them again. Ou has benefited more from Colorado, atm, Missouri and Nebraska leaving the big 12. All they have to do is a easy schedule and beat Texas and there basically insured a spot in the playoffs.

So true, but it wasn't a Thanksgiving beatdown in 1996 or 1997 because OU had chosen not to play Nebraska annually in the new Big XII. That put NU-CU on Thanksgiving weekend, and Nebraska played Oklahoma in early November. It was weird, yes, and I also strangely felt sorry for them.

Only happens when the best coaching is involved. Frost and company will have to evolve into one of the premier staffs in the country.

I haven’t gave up on Frost. I still believe he’s that guy. He’s got the recruiting part of down (that part will never be an issue under him) and he’s a great offensive mind. But he is a young coach who’s learning too. In a few years I’m whiling to bet anything we will be watching some big time football.

Yeah, Frost has "it". No doubt. Nebraska has been a dormant tiger. Everybody knows it. It's about getting the mindset back to winning. Frost just can't rely on Talent alone. He needs to make better decisions. I'm going to be hopeful going into next year.

They only programs who say Nebraska wont be back are those who have never achieved greatness.

Which is also proof why these rankings are a joke. If OU is the fourth best team in the country, I’m Bob Stoops.

Which is why they need 8 teams. To settle it on the field. I'm tired of hearing about Boise State and UCF. They ruined the old system and now they need to make this right.

Okla best wins were, vs Baylor, Texas, and Okla St. Texas was over ranked at 11th. Texas best win was K state, who was 20th at the time and Okla lost to. Baylor didn't beat any ranked opponents. Oklahoma came very close to losing to Iowa St and TCU. Okla st best wins were K st, and Iowa st.
If Okla was in the BIG10 I would bet they finish below Ohio St, Mich, Penn St, Wisc . Probably on the same level as MN and Iowa. . They are realistically probably a 15- 20 team.

69-7 which is a 62 point margin is the greatest deficit the Sooner's have ever lost to anyone by and we are also the only school to ever hang 70+ on them as well.

OU was #4....which is reason #1...why you should not go to 8.
I don’t think that beat down is indicative of not going to 8 seeds it indicates that the big should never be in the playoffs unless they start showing they know how to play D... all big 12 games always seem to be like 30 something to 40something which shows that neither side played D... that has been the big 12 mantra since all the conference realignment crap happened... Big 12 don’t play D and until they do they will never win it all in the playoffs because they don’t know what it’s like to go up against a real good D

UCF and Boise State did not ruin the old system. The reason it should go to 8 teams is because there are 5 major conferences, sometimes there is more than one team in the same conference that is deserving, and it gives the G5 conferences a chance if they're good enough. If you ask me a 4 team playoff already takes out a lot of the excitement of the championship game. You might as well make it 8 teams and you have a better chance of fielding a competitive semifinal game that way.

No. They ruined the old bowl system that was decided by the polls. I agree with the rest.
