Man if we can get past this week we are in good shape in Omaha especially if Auburn loses today
That is unbelievable. GT would’ve been the team I was most confident in making it to Omaha.
That was a NUKE. That outfielder made me think it was in for a split second lol. A lot of chaos……..
Two years in a row the top two seeds don’t make it out of the regionals. And last year was the first time since this tournament format started.
Yep, we are the only ACC team left.
6 SEC teams in the Supers already and 4 more still alive.
1 B1G team in, 1 still alive.
1 Big XII in, 1 still alive
3 mid-majors in, 2 still alive

You know the GT coach may be a good guy, but I couldn’t stand how cocky he acted selection Monday…. He acts so cocky…maybe a bee in his bonnet lol

I said all year long that I never trusted GT’s pitching. I did think their offense would carry them to at least the Supers. My feelings aren’t hurt that I was wrong.
In the postseason, give me the arm barn over the entire lineup hitting .325+. Tech had a chance to close out an 8-2 lead and then a 7-3 lead late today at home and still didn’t have the pitching for it. I’d be sick if I was a Tech fan. That’s the kind of lineup you don’t have the luxury to lean on much, if at all, in your program.
Not a lot of super scary teams left. Not counting chickens but the opportunity is out there for the taking.
There is still a chance, however remote that we are the only seeded team left on our entire half of the bracket.

#4 Aub vs Milwaukee 9PM
#8 UofF currently down 2 to Troy top of 3rd
#12 aTm vs USC 9PM
#16 WVU up 1 on UK top of 3rd
#1, #9, & #13 already eliminated.
Obviously we are most focused on aTm, our potential super regional foe, but #4 Auburn would in theory be our first CWS foe and leave us as the highest seeded team remaining in our half...go Panthers!

If, and it’s a big if, we make Omaha and it goes chalk from here the only team that truly frightens me is Georgia. Those cats can go nuclear on offense at any given moment.
They were up 8 to 2 Sunday. They should have went to Patel Sunday.remember OU dropped the last series of the season at home to Tennessee. OU is ok they are just insanely hot at the plate but by next weekend it could revert back to normal.

If I am on my 4th or 5th game in 4 days I will take the batting, all things equal. You rarely see teams with a bullpen deep enough to have reliable pitching on day 4. It is all Icy Hot and duct tape holding your pitching line-up together.
It obviously did not work for GT, though.
But of course it is a false choice...
SEC is light-years ahead of everyone.
They have also made GREAT expansion choices, unlike the ACC, who has made the conference worse with expansion a couple of times now
