Maryland 24 at Illinois 22 w 8 minutes in 1st half.

Illini lost Boswell to season ending injury recently.
He is a critical glue guy on a team full of long euro guys.
He hurt the hawks.
I think the illini are going to struggle vs athletic quick teams going forward.
Wagler is the only player of color in their rotation as they now pass Iowa as the least diverse team around.
Amazing when you consider the history of the illini...Underwood has seemingly abandoned Chicago, Peoria and East st Louis for recruits

Illini 31 MD 26 w 5 minutes to go in 1st half.

Hurt the Hawks?

He was almost the sole reason the Illini were able to hold off the Hawks in their matchup. Him and Sideshow Bob, I mean Wagler.

Just started watching Xavier & Creighton. Dix is playing but not Freeman. Is he injured?

I think OF is suffering from Inflamed Vaginitis.

But seriously, I think the McDermott just isn't playing him because Freeman is super low effort, especially on the D end. At least that seems the case when you see Creighton fans comment about the sitch.

Illini run away from terps ..45-30.
Too tall, too skilled shooting
47-30 halftime.
It like watching a Euro pro league team.
College BB is being overwhelmed by pro players...wtf?

UWash is getting 2 top players back from injury in time to host hawks in 10 days.

Luck is an element in successful seasons.

USC is down by 5 to NW midway thru 2nd half.
USC is 8 of 22 from line.
NW is 2 of 3 from line.
USC has a 7'5" guy off bench.

Hawks could lose to both teams on a given nite.

0-7/8-10 NW wins at USC.

Really puts the game last night in some perspective.

Good teams survive scares, average or worse teams don't.

Quite the year they're having.
Frager could really derail the entire thing. He's our 6th man, but he might have the best all around scoring capability outside of Pryce. We were already down a critical man in Connor E. Losing Frager long term is....not good.

Sprained ankle..not a big deal.
Nebraska BB is having that magic season...they are destined for a top seed in BIG and dance...just don't sweep Iowa.

Indiana @ Rutgers, 5p CST on FS1 tonight.

I know the "smart play" is probably to want IU to win because of metrics/SOS, but I will end up rooting for RU if they are in it and have a chance to win the game.
