Purdue was hanging around with USC, and then some massive USC DT snagged a tipped ball and ran it back nearly 80 yards for a touchdown.

Dabo's team is not looking so good. Clemson, I believe was a Top 10 preseason selection and thought to be a sure thing for this year's playoffs. After losing to Georgia Tech maybe not such a lock after all. K-State's Avery Johnson is a very inaccurate passer and even worse he makes some pretty bad decisions with the ball. He keeps the ball too often when he should hand it off to the back and he also has a bad habit of throwing a bad, wild reckless pass when flushed out of the pocket when he has 5-10 yards of open field ahead of him. The Minnesota quarterback (Lindsey, I think it is his name) looked pretty bad tonight playing Cal. Another inaccurate passer. On the good news for an old Husker, Nate Boerkircher, caught the TD pass in the closing seconds of the A&M game against ND to tie the score up. The PAT put the Aggies one point ahead. Then the Aggies held on during the final 14 seconds of the game to beat the Fighting Irish. Good for Nate. I wish the Huskers could have kept him. I guess he got a better NIL deal with A&M. Heard a talking head on the radio Friday afternoon say how he didn't believe Notre Dame had to win tonight to make the playoffs. He thought with a 10-2 record ND would easily get in. ND doesn't really have any tough games left. I think the two biggest obstacles in keeping Notre Dame from running the table are the game at Arkansas (who lost to Ole Miss, today) and USC @ South Bend game.

I have to add I think the Tennessee loss to Georgia is squarely on the shoulders of their coach, Josh Heupel. What a dummy. The Vols recovered a Bulldog fumble with about 4 minutes to go. I think it was pretty close to midfield, just a little on the Georgia side of the field. Josh goes into some serious conservative play calling mode. Just handed the ball off to the running back to setup a long FG. I think Josh thought his team would be safe with an eight point lead the FG gave it. Georgia tied up the score on a pretty good drive Heupel's blunders were not over yet. His clock management skills in the closing seconds were atrocious. He was so scared of leaving a few seconds left on the game clock that he practically forced his team to meltdown. Instead of kicking the FG on 3rd down with 7 seconds left he had his team run one more play. The Vol's jumped offsides and the ball instead of being in the center of the field where it was at the start of the play was now 5 yards further back and placed off-center on the hashmarks. The nervous freshman kicker missed the go-ahead FG badly. Did any of you think Tennesse had an ounce of a chance to win the game in O.T. Of course not. Georgia easily won.

Texas Tech got a huge gain on a play I've seen a few times this year, and I would like to see the Huskers run it.

QB takes a deep drop and the RB runs a crossing pattern just inches behind the line of scrimmage. Because he's behind the line, the guy covering him is fair game. So the TE blows the defender up with the ball still in the air, and it's off to the races.

I'm sitting on the beach. Is Maryland that good or does Wisky suck something smelly?
