My biggest qualm is that Casey’s wife is Chinese. I wonder how that character casting went, bring in all the hotties from the reservation, then was like oh **** it, get me an Asian
That's why you hate it? They're actors. She can pass. Tell me you watched the rest of the series and not just her character.

I’ve watched. The whole thing. I’m a Costner fan but damnit there is very little cowboying in this show built on the premise of “save the ranch”

This is exactly how I feel. It’s nothing more than a horrible cowboy soap opera in prime time

I like the show, but it seems as if the villains are almost all cartoonish bad actors. For real. It is compared to soap operas for a reason. The old lady and her new chick baddy were ridiculous tonight. Seen better acting in porn.

I chuckled when she started throwing her booze glasses around the conference room.

It started out ok.

But Caseys wife is the most wishy washy inconsistent character EVER.

They just drop story lines and forget about them.

The villain's as said are laughable with what they try to get away with in ******** judicial system that exists in this world. And in general.

And when they could spend time on story and character development, Taylor Sheridan is too busy cumming on everything because he just inserted another 5 minutes of slomo horse shots. Again and again. I get it the guy would bang a horse, but you are making a show, not horse porn. Or is he???? Hmmm

It is Dallas.

They even have a lot of articles out there saying it is not Dallas which clearly means it is Dallas.

Costner is Jock Ewing, Beth is JR Ewing, the dude that married the Native American is Bobby Ewing, they even kicked a kid out, like they did to Gary Ewing.

The only differences is that it is about land not oil and there is a lot of violence.

That’s not the worst analogy. I really liked Beth’s character in the beginning but I feel like they’ve gone over the top to make her a badass. I used to sorta root for her but now she’s just a mean b*tch.

Yeah, I agree and I think that is where JR Ewing was sooooo loved/hated and is known as one of the most iconic TV characters in TV history.

He was "bad" but not sooooooo over the top. So you sort of loved him or loved to hate him.

I have not seen the new season yet but Beth is almost like The Terminator all of a sudden.

But in the end, it is Dallas on steroids and I get it, why not sort of "reboot" one of the most famous, longest running nighttime soap operas. Especially after it worked, for a bit, with Sons of Anarchy.

The other difference is they don't have the annual BBQ at the ranch where someone gets thrown in the pool.

Show was made for yuppies. I think it’s mostly garbage but I keep watching it. Waiting on more Ozark seasons

Beth feels like she was written by a fat woman who spends all day imagining scenarios where she would reject a man's advances

I really like the show.

I do fast-forward anytime there’s something about Casey’s family or some rodeo-ish scene though.
Oh my god, right? I sort of feel like the are writing him off the show a bit. Talk about a yawn-fest.

No one cares about stolen horses...

They made him the Bobby Ewing but they forget to make him have a rivalry with Beth (JR Ewing) so now he is just stuck with story lines that could not be lamer if they tried.

Am I the only one waiting for Jamie to kill Beth, how much is a emasculated man suppose to take, he-he ;). I'm also waiting for The old lady Caroline the CEO Market Equities from the big city to have a tragic accident. There's nothing like an English actress (Kelly Reilly, Beth) playing a hard *** sophisticated cowgirl from Montana trying to castrate men in almost every scene. And that old Australian lady (Jackie Weaver, Caroline) trying to play the part of a ruthless business women, her anger is laughable and her strength, WOW! she can hardly pick up and throw a decanter full of booze.

I have really loved this series. But I watched the first two episodes and it seems more like they are going through the motions this season. Like they are just wrapping it up. Jumped the shark.

Never watched it. But why was it on so many different channels? Makes me want to avoid it even more
😂 Agreed.

I've watched it and am caught up, but half the time I don't know if it's on Paramount +, CMT, or ESPN.

The show is pretty low-grade entertainment. After watching, I often feel the same way I did when I would watch Jerry Springer for some reason. Makes me question whether I actually have anything better to do, or if this is just my life now.

I had an opportunity to meet three of the cast members at a work event. The actors who play Lloyd, Jimmy and Teeter. All very nice people.

1883 is better.

I’m a Costner fan but can’t bring myself to watch it. One of my former employees worked for Kevin in Deadwood at the Midnight Star. She said when he was in town he would take them all out for drinks after work.

You are doing for yourself a favor, I’m only watching it now because I have the channel. About every episode is summed up this way, Beth’s nasty *****, Rip is badass who has a righteous soul, Jamey is a middle child please love me weasel , Casey offers nothing to the show, John Dutton gets up drinks coffee every morning until 10 then is always in the house eating an elaborate meal while the sun is still up , you know typical ranch life (sarcasm) , and you hardly ever see a cow.
