Perhaps the most disturbing movie ever. I have a tough time with this one.

Movie is pretty good, not overly scary (unlike Sinister which left me pretty uncomfortable more than scared).

The movie made straight forward sense to me and was pretty easy to follow along the storyline.

Well as a fan of good cinema, I went and watched it tonight. I thought it sucked. I generally love a lot of good independent movies (like A24 makes a lot of), but once again am not a fan of what I call "arthouse horror". I would describe this along with movies like The Killing of a sacred deer, The Lighthouse, and if you really have the guts Antichrist (which is probably the sickest movie I have EVER watch) as this genre and I couldn't stand any one of them. The only movie I have ever seen from this genre that I liked was Midsommar. I thought it sucked halfway through, but I stuck with it and it eventually paid off. I won't be watching Hereditary again only because I didn't like it. It didn't shock (ok, the little sister sort of shocked me some) and it wasn't that good. IMO.
