OT: Vredestein Tires

Anyone have any experience with Vredestein tires? They seem to rate very well on Tire Rack and are a bit cheaper.

I'd much prefer to have you around and being snarky than dead and a few pennies richer. There are much smarter places to find savings then the only thing between your car and the road.

Didn’t say I was buying them. I’m researching them. It appears they are well known in Europe and have been manufacturing tires for 111 years. They recently (2020) moved into the North American market. Most reviews rate them better or equal to the “top” brands. Thanks for your concern.

Ha.

The lower one's just an old Model S, I believe, but the upper one is the rather awesome Italdesign Parcour concept, which became the Audi Nanuk Quattro concept, an Italian-penned, Lambo-powered off-road susuper - gorgeous vision that sadly never was. I don't believe the Giugiaros ever entirely gave up on the idea, though, as they did a similar concept with their new design firm GFG 4 or 5 years back.

To bring that back around to the OP, apparently Italdesign has/had a decades' long history of designing Vredestein's tires - so possibly some fancy designer Italian shoes for your car's wardrobe

Just make sure you fill your tires with krypton, not nitrogen, and certainly not air. That is sarcasm for the folks who believe in the nitrogen scam.

I always fill my Michelins with pure, uncut, Bolivian cocaine. It doesn’t out leak like air, or nitrogen, or krypton even.
