Sounds like you are up north if you have Norway pines, but some counties have started regulating rentals. Can't have more people staying then the septic or bedrooms, whichever is smaller. And quiet hours. I think it's 2 or 3 strikes and the rental license is pulled.

Thank you for this information. I will ask our lake association if we have any such restrictions. Yes, we are up north with the Norways. My grandpa made that a requirement when he chose a lake in 1949.

I sympathize with why you feel the way you do. I'm sure most MN counties will be regulating rentals if they haven't already. Two summers ago we stayed at a really neat little cabin in Otter Tail County on a beautiful lake next to Maplewoods state park. We spent the week listening to the neighbor with the huge McMansion running his jet skis all day long. Had a yapping little dog too. Not a big deal to me, but it ain't just the renters that are clueless and annoying.
