I'm more riled up about how states have gerrymandered voting districts to skew representation. This is an issue that has far more impact on democratic elections than voter ID and should be a priority, IMO.

I totally agree with you! It is sad that gerrymandering has given us this corruption:

  • New Hampshire: ~48% Republican vote share, 0 GOP House members
  • Maine: ~46% Republican vote share, 0 GOP House members
  • Massachusetts: ~36% Republican vote share, 0 GOP House members
  • Connecticut: Sizable GOP voter minority, 0 GOP House members
  • Rhode Island: Sizable GOP voter minority, 0 GOP House members
  • Vermont: Sizable GOP voter minority, 0 GOP House member

How would showing ID suppress voting? You basically have to show 2 forms of id to sign up for anything. Pretty much most states require it except the ones that cheat

As I said, I'm ok with voter ID was long as it doesn't suppress voting. Politicians can and will design voter ID requirements to limit opposition just like they gerrymandered voting districts to give their party an advantage.

Yup and just as prevalent on Republican side. This isn't a right/left issue it's a fairness issue.

Agree. It's just that one party (D) did it decades ago and the other is just catching up. No one seemed to care until the right did it - now they act as if it's a high crime and misdemeanor to gerrymander.

There was video from 2020 Georgia. They empty the counting room, pulled out a suitcase, and started adding ballots to the count. Also in GA, they were openly interfering with election monitors. The people doing it were very amused.
Hundreds upon hundreds of federal agents have been looking at the 2020 Georgia election. For how long? A year? How many have been charged by the Trump administration? What's taking so long if the cheating is so obvious?

I figure you need a birth certificate and SSC to get your initial drivers license. That should be all you need. So what they need to do is have a driver's license indicate whether you are an American Citizen or Immigrant without full citizenship with a temporary drivers permit.

What exactly do you consider a "sizeable minority"?

According to USA Facts, 14.5% of registered voters in Rhode Island are registered Republicans. Rhode Island only has two Congressional districts. So are you suggesting that because neither of those two House seats is held by Republican, it must be due to gerrymandering?

If that's the case, something crooked must really be happening in Nebraska. Because 26% of registered Nebraska voters are registered Democrats, yet Dems hold none of the three House seats.

While I think gerrymandering is a big problem in many areas of the country, I can't imagine that it's the reason Rhode Island's Congressional delegation is all blue or that Nebraska's is all red.

Vermont has one congressional district. Roughly 1/3 of Vermont voters typically vote Republican. And this guy is complaining......

It's amazing how caught up people get in all this ****.

Is there anyone on this board okay with people showing up to ballot drop off boxes with stacks of ballots? There were 10's of thousands of these boxes in 2020.

That's worse than 3rd world stuff if you ask me.
That is all hearsay and never proven to be true. In many rural states they still do not have voting machines and paper ballots are used. Those ballots have to be taken and dropped off at the county offices. That is likely the"boxes of ballots" that one is referring to.

You live in the dark. I just pulled up several videos of ballot box stuffing that was broadcast on news stations. I won't do the research for you, but invite you to step away from the MSM and check things out.

You never answered my actual question - Do you support these ballot boxes where people can drop off ballots without ID?
