No we dont. Only thing maybe add bathrooms. Having a clean neat shiny arena means nothing

Because it could easily be mistaken for a Soviet Bunker from WWII. We grew up with it yes but try selling that eye sore to a recruit when you see some of the other new facilities around the country. It's like asking why we should upgrade from the bubble to a fieldhouse in Football.

We have a brand new facility. Try again. The players dont give a single **** about what the place looks like on the inside. You think the rock is a selling point for SHU? Theyd trade the rock to us to have the rac on their campus in a nanosecond
Put in a Rotunda. Add some restrooms. Restore 118 and fix/paint/clean/lighting/power wash/ landscaping/outside and we have a wonderful arena.
A big Scarlet R, some trees, Rutgers spelled out in bushes, a statue, a Knight? a hoops player? a large video screen, anything out front?? It’s not that hard????? SMH.
Over the years we have repeatedly made the RAC smaller. Drives me nuts. Took years to remove balloons or paint purple air ducts. Every AD has done his best to ruin the RAC. Nutty. Make the effort to improve pronto!!!

it needs sprucing up on the outside and more space with better concessions, other than that its fine
I don’t agree bac. It’s a dump. It has to be the worst arena in d1. It’s a joke. Great home court but I have to believe it’s an anchor from a recruiting standpoint.
It could be a classic arena if they did it right. Just like Duke or the Palestra. Do you want PSU or Trenton or Ohio State. They hate their arenas. No thank you.
Others schools have expanded nicely. Northwestern, Cal, Cincy, etc.
It’s the best home field arena in the Northeast. It’s the one thing we have. Throw that away and we have Temple. Who cares?
Keep the court and the seating near the court. Renovate and especially modernize everything else. It's a monstrosity from the outside.. I can't imagine any recruit seeing that building for the first time, fresh off a tour at a competing beautiful basketball facility, saying that's where they want to play for the next 4 years. NJ and New Brunswick has enough trashiness and urban blight.. let's actually improve something to be shiny and modern for once.
