We don't have the ball enough.
We give to much time and space.
Always defending unless we get a fast break.
Recipe to lose.

Bradley off the right post...although looked like the Mexican keeper had it covered either way.

In 78th minute now

Awesome result for the USA! It really puts us in a great position to advance to Russia. Defend home soil vs Costa Rica and Panama and we should be set. Getting any road points at Honduras or Trinidad would be icing on the cake. The Bradley goal was world class. Lucky at times to hold on, and the ref easily could've given a yellow card or worse to Mexico for some of their elbows early on. Bottom line, get that point booked and move on.

Salcedo shouldve gotten a straight red for his 2nd elbow. How he escaped both without even a foul is ridiculous.

The officiating was poor, but thats expected in the Azteca if you are playing Mexico. It sucks, but that's just the way it is.

Why sit them?

Short Rest, Altitude and Smog in Mexico City, Age, a number of factors.
My take away from this game was our depth. Being able to plug in several new guys and still get a result in one of the harshest environments in soccer is pretty impressive.

Pulisic, Yedlin, Wood are the future and the future is certainly bright.

Ahhh.....Nothing is more satisfying than a tie

In Azteca, Yes.
Not sure if you were joking or serious, or whatever but a history lesson if you will and some food for thought.

Almost always when the Azteca plays host, history favors the home team. Since the stadium was built in 1966,
Mexico has only lost twice out of 50 World Cup qualifying matches, with the record now standing to 40-2-8.
One of those draws came against the U.S. in the 2014 qualifying process, a scoreless affair, but Mexico was in a far different place at that time.

Think about that 2 losses and now 8 ties in 50 World Cup Qualifying matches spanning 51 Years.
That is unprecedented.

Messed up my post so trying again. The Aztec a record is great but then again Mexico doesnt play themselves in qualifying and if you take Mexico out there's not much in the way of quality teams in CONCACAF.

And especially if you add in that the first 20+ years of the stadium the US was pretty (I'm being kind) poor.

That said a point is definitely fine for us. Would be very hard not to qualify now.

Glad he went with youth. Tough place. Really wish they'd crack down on flops in the box.

Defense played excellent. Very happy to see that.

There are many who think Football is just as Boring. Most Sports are Boring if you don't take the time to really learn the Tactics, Formations, and Strategy behind them. If you don't understand the Strategy and flow of Soccer then Yes ait can appear boring. Decades of watching it make me respect it more and more with each passing year.

I would add the players too. I am a huge soccer fan but for years I did not follow MLS. Once a couple of buddies started taking me to games and I got to learn the individual players I became a lot more invested.

I thought the same thing after we beat OSU in lax. Hope you are right. And hope the selection committee isn't from Baltimore.
