I don't think you've been alive long enough to know of another athletic director besides Jurich.
Last time I checked, no one with an ounce of credibility has even insinuated that pitino knew about “hookers” (the individuals themselves deny this and are suing over the claim that they had sex with anyone for money) much less hired them. The sypher situation has nothing to do with the ncaa. As of right now - there is zero proof that pitino even knew about the bowen deal - much less orchestrated it or played any part whatsoever.
So basically all that you’ve established is that yes, many things that most of us take for granted, are in fact - news to you.
The fact that this jackass would use the words “amateurish” and Jurich in the same sentence, shows the true lack of understanding he brings to the discussion.

No actually we can thank the dumba$$ sitting in Frankfort. He’s the one who appointed those idiots Grissom and Postel. President positions and boards get replaced every year, but only here in Kentucky would a Governor appoint a board with 4 rivalry grads on it and put a hit man on it like Grissom to tear down a major state institution.
Has anyone asked what’s going to happen to the YUM if the trend continues with attendance dropping? And they don’t get a NBA, which they will not. Just how are they going to fund it. Also donors keep dropping how will we maintain the FB stadium. Are the just going to let it crumble?

What you are not getting is that he could not and would not have been able to put anyone into power if it wasn't for Ramsey, Jurich, and Pitino screwing the pooch...simple as that.
You need to peal off more layers to this situation and quit stopping the peeling when you get to the governor. Maybe go one layer deeper .....
What you don’t seem to understand is that it just doesn’t matter who left or why. People are replaced all the time. It’s the Governors responsibility to make appointments that will grow a University. I can blame those you mentioned and yes they opened the door for this. But that’s water under the bridge. We are where we are now and Biven’s, Postel, and Grissom are responsible for the current mess. For example taking more than 580 days to find a President. Can’t blame Ramsey, Jurich, or Pitino for that.
Try. To. Understand. What Pitino and Jurich did, didn't do, whatever, it has NOTHING to do with the BOT, old or new. Nada. Zilch. Zero. But, you keep bringing them into this. Now, Ramsey had a power struggle with the previous board. He then whined to the governor who made him a deal. "I'll fire the BOT if you resign." It was Ramsey's last FU before he rode off into the sun set. But, then idiot Bevin appointed this beyond inept board that includes everyone's favorite public enemy number 1- Grissom. Then there's "oh, no one's buying my pizza's anymore Papa." Another Bevin appointee. The BOT is a joke. The governor who appointed them is a joke. University leadership is a joke.
Ramsey, Pitino and Jurich sealed their own fate. No other way it can be construed. The men's basketball program needed new leadership to put it mildly. You just can't do ALL of the things -or be associated with them - that Pitino did and keep your job. Jurich clearly backed him even as it became egregious and irresponsible to do so.
Bevin clearly had zero interest in ensuring future success for Louisville athletics. He wanted a tight ship with no drama. As bad as it blows, we got what we got. Hey, I want Tom back to, but look at it this way...he was nearing the end of his career anyway. Time to stop whining and move on.

The three mentioned were going regardless of what they did or didn't do. U of L is a State institution, and it became clear that higher ups wanted them gone. The reason(s) didn't matter. That was the essence of Pitino's "jay-walking" comment.

You’re partially correct. Bevin’s has no interest in the success of UofL athletically or academically. It has nothing to do with drama or he wouldn’t have come out yesterday and supported Calamari’s comments. And appointing all the people in the BOT that have no desire in pushing UofL forward. They don’t show up for meetings and no transparency. Meaning Bevin’s decisions have nothing to do with ending any drama.
