OT: Uncut Gems

[Bcash2]

Absolutely fantastic film. My favorite of 2019. Adam Sandler is unbelievable and Kevin Garnett does an awesome job (playing himself) as well. This movie is balls to the wall tension from the start and doesn’t let up until the very end. It’s a ‘must see’ movie if you havnt already.

Looking forward to seeing it. They have blown up my Twitter with ads for it the last month, so it better be as good as advertised.

I'm looking forward to seeing it.

As Little Nicky would say, "I hear good things."

The two brothers who made this film were on The Rewatchables last week

reviewing Happy Gilmore. Good stuff.

Yes that's sort of unrelated, but their comments about working with Sandler made me want to see Uncut Gems for sure. Glad to hear it's worth seeing.

Yea supposedly they wrote this script with Sandler in mind.

A few years back I happened to view their previous film Good Time on a flight, with no knowledge about it and was blown away. Uncut Gems takes that same chaotic narrative style and cranks it to 11. I can't stop thinking about this movie. I felt fully transported into the sleazy diamond world of NYC and noticed that my heart was literally racing in the last 20-ish minutes of the film.

They were on The Big Picture last week as well. Really fun interview to take in after seeing the movie. They go through a little bit of an oral history of how they got the movie made.

I LOL’ed at Sandler saying if he doesn’t win some kind of award for this he’s gonna go and make a movie so bad that everyone will regret it.

Adam Sandler and Sasha Cohen have decent shots at winning award for best dramatic actors this year

Fantastic movie. Anxiety filled roller coaster. One of the best of the year for sure.
