OT: Tyler Childers > Sturgill

[cprpub]

That is my bourbon-inspired conclusion on this Thursday evening. Am I wrong?

[Cooterpoot]

Childers sounds like a donkey pissing on an electric fence.

[boatsandhoes]

I like his tunes better than sturgill. That red barn radio album is the shiz

[The Fatboy]

Sturgill Simpson live is nothing to be trifled with.

At this point I have to go Childers..

I love Sturgill. I Barely listened to anything else when Metamodern came out. Didn't like the next one nearly as much. Speaking of Sturgill, has anyone seen that he is putting out an anime film?? Gotta give the guy credit for trying different things..

“We went in without any preconceived notions and came out with a really sleazy, steamy rock n roll record. It’s definitely my most psychedelic,” he says in a statement. “And also my heaviest. I had this idea that it’d be really cool to animate some of these songs, and we ended up with a futuristic, dystopian, post-apocalyptic, samurai film.”
