The major thoroughfare committee had talked about running a loop road behind Walmart to the Barnes extension road. Putting in a target would guarantee the need for that. Gloster would still be maxed out though.

Target used to have a policy to locate in cities/areas >100,000 (pretty much the opposite of Walmart). That may have changed over the past few years.

The Tupelo officials probably wouldn't mention a retailer name unless it was pretty much a done deal.

It is crazy how much Tupelo is growing. The city and surrounding area has done a great job.
