Just a hint....

The Stephen Stiller Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation pays off mortgages of First Responder and Military Service people killed in the line of duty.

Rush Limbaugh has a .com site where he is printing up T-shirts with a Betsy Ross American Flag.
This is in response to Nike removing the Betsy Ross sneakers.

Portion of the proceeds go to the Tunnel2Tower Foundation.

To date OVER $ 5,000,000 has been raised for payoffs.

Made in USA, over 100 new jobs in Penn to print the demand...

NO, a Foundation that pays off mortgages of First Responders, primarily Police Officers (but Fire as well), and Miliary Service Members KIA.

$ 5,000,000 is the amount DONATED to date.

I bought 4, 1 for me and 1 for my 3 Sons.

Don't like Rush ? No problem, next spring there is a golf tourney at Eagle Oaks (used to be Shore Oaks when I was a member.) in Howell NJ. Johnny MIller design.

Rush doesn't pocket a penny for these causes. You think he needs the money...lol. It's your heroes on the left that are involved in shady stuff (Biden, Clinton, et al)

I'd rather just give money to that foundation than give the satisfaction to Rush Limbaugh in putting together a fundraiser of a shirt that he doesn't quite understand the symbolism and how it may affect people

There are thousands of bogus charities out there. That for example use 70% of the money generated to pay "expenses". I prefer checking out how much of my money actually goes to those in need.

I don't really care where anyone donates. Have never purchased anything from Rush previously. Don't listen to his radio broadcasts.

I liked the idea of getting a T-shirt that mocked Colin Don't Stand up and Nike.

Another decent is Wounded Warriors, a nice long sleeve dry wick shirt.

Want shot glasses with .308 bullet ? Travis Manion Foundation (2 USNA Grads KIA, buried side by side.)

Read the books; "Fearless" or another "Robert's Ridge", and then decide what you want to do....

Wore the shirt at a Jersey Shore beach club this summer and got back slapped all day. I guess somebody did understand the symbolism....

What is the symbolism of the Betsy Ross flag that people don't understand? How does that symbolism affect people?

Did you read that whole article? I think it speaks for itself.

The truth of it is, that flag doesn't "affect" anyone. Some hyper-sensitive SJW types realized a couple of hate organizations had used it, and decided it was the next thing that should be added to the ban list. Which of course, is utter nonsense.

Symbols have lots of different meanings. Just because hate groups may co-opt symbols of early america as part of their marketing, does not necessarily make those symbols symbols of racism. Like anything, context is key. When it comes to symbols, breadth of usage is also key. In the case of the Betsy Ross flag, there is scant evidence of the flag being used by anyone supporting white nationalism, and it certainly is not used or recognized as any kind of symbol of that movement (a la the confederate flag). On the other hand, there is a great deal of association of that flag with very significant positive historical events - the founding of our nation, and the War for Independence.

I understand why Nike reacted the way they did. But I will not willingly concede the history and symbolism of this great country to some SJW dopes on social media, any more than I will to the bigots. It belongs to all of us.

A "portion" of the proceeds. So Rush keeps 90% of the profit.
I lean conservative but don't like Hannity or Limbaugh. I have read Limbaugh gets nothing from this and all proceeds are donated to the charity. Personally, I'd just donate to the charity directly but if someone wants a shirt from their donation, there's nothing wrong with this.

Betsy Ross was originally a Quaker and the KKK is in the wrong century from when she made the first American Flag.

Her home in Philly is somewhere you can visit...

There are lot's of events all over before the next years Tunnel jog/race.

I never stated that it was a bad charity. I just wouldn't contribute through Rush. Attempt to follow along.

I followed along just fine. You made a dumb assertion that Rush keeps 90%, when you were corrected by someone telling you that Rush keeps $0 from this, you advised that "there are thousands of bogus charities out there." Which is of course perfectly irrelevant to the thread.

Its all very transparent. You disagree with Rush politically, so you couldn't help yourself but to attack a very worthy charitable drive and cause. Very emblematic of the times. Move along back to the CE board.

I never attacked the charity. You have your head so far up Rush's *** that you can't even see that.
