Osweiler beat the Pats last nite. He might have won the starting role. How does that affect Trevor's situation? He's not really qualified to be a backup yet and I'm doubting that Manning will accept being a backup.

I think you're right. However, Kubiak likes Siemian and my guess is that while manning is hurt Trevor is the back up. When manning comes back Trevor in turn goes to the practice squad. He'll definitely be in camp next year where he will more than likely get a lot more reps in the pre-season. How he does there will determine whether he makes the roster next year.

He doesn't go to practice squad he goes back to 3rd string and they release ponder

Trevor is living the dream. Back up QB or Practice Squad QB does not matter at this point. Learning from Manning and soaking in all the knowledge and experiences from the entire Broncos team and coaches.... priceless.

It matters I think, financially. Not sure but it may be the difference of hundreds of thousands, and no other team can claim him. What the hell is a Florida kid doing up in the mountain snow belt?
