Last Tombstone I ate was in college early 80s. Pretty much every Tombstone pizza I ate was at 2AM after getting home wasted from the bars. I didn't really care how they tasted. I had a roommate who came home really plastered from time to time and threw a Tombstone in the oven without taking the cardboiard or plastic wrap off and then pass out. The cardboard would catch on fire and set the smoke alarm off. Those were the days my friends.........

Wait a minute! Are you telling me that the cheapest pizza in the freezer section at the grocery store isn't up to the highest standards of quality!?!?! Now I've heard it all. Next thing you know, someone is going to try to convince us yokels that Coors Light isn't way better tasting than urine.

Can you still buy Red Baron pizza? Most little taverns had a Red Baron pizza oven and would bake Red Baron pizza, they were pretty big in the 1970’s
Yes. Tombstone is better than red Baron. Or at least they were recently. Red Baron used to be better. Thought they were the gourmet version of Tony's.

OP said tombstone changed recipe. Not sure I have had the new style

IMO, the Red Baron Brick Oven stuff is honestly really good.

No, I’m saying they changed their sauce and crust and went from ok to horrible is all!

It's either Totitino's hamburger pizza or GFYM.

Jack's is great! And face it...you are not buying a frozen pizza for the amazing tasteful experience. You are buying them because they are cheap, filling, and take no effort.

Jack's with a little extra salt, some hot sauce and some ranch. Good stuff.

The best frozen pizza is at Costco. It is just their in-store pizza ready to bake at home.

I loved Tombstone pizzas in the 1970's and 1980's, until the company was sold off some time in the 1990s or so. After that they became crap. Remember when it was the "small town home grown made the way you make your own pizza"?

I went and bought a Tombstone today and will try it soon.
If true this is terrible news.
Tombstone was by and large the best pizza out there. Had one last month still tasted good.
Used to own the **** out of them with my friends growing up. So good.

Djorno or whatever is by far the worst. Jacks, baron, totinos, all far superior to that crap.
