A great supporter of women's BB as well. Speedy recovery to an all around nice man.
while I hope for his speedy recovery, the victims of his former players and coaches physical and sexual assaults that he helped bury would suggest he is not a genuinely nice person (Mateen Cleaves, Travis Walton, Adreian Payne, Keith Appling, etc).
IIRC, a jury of nine women and three men found Mateen Cleaves not guilty of four different sex assault charges. So, Cleaves doesn't have any victims. Unless there is some other case involving Cleaves that I am unaware of.
Also, Cleaves was accused of sexual assault long after he played for Izzo. I can't speak to the other guys you named.
I think he acts like a jackass on the sideline. I am very uncomfortable watching him yell at his players.

Izzo's comments about not knowing anything about Walton during his assault charges while he conveniently pretended to not know Walton was literally living in Izzo's basement at the time are hilarious. What Payne and Appling did while playing was crazy. MSU settled that title 9 lawsuit out of court I believe.
If players didn't and don't like being yelled at by coach Izzo they have been and are free to transfer. Consensus seems to be that his players typically love him and run through walls for him. Seems simplistic to say that I saw a coach yell at his players so he must be a bad man. If he is so bad he wouldn't continue to get really good players. The market always decides these things. I can't imagine many schools that wouldn't want him to coach their team.

Players could have left Wichita State too. People abused in relationships could leave too.

Acting like a jackass on the sideline isn't quite calling him a bad man. It does concern me though a bit about his character that he would find it acceptable to berate fellow human beings in front of millions of viewers. I realize he is not alone.

I believe my definition of a jackass and yours might differ. A coach could be a sweetheart on the bench and to the press and yet be complicit in the illegal acquisition of college basketball players and graduate virtually none of them. That is a jackass.
Sure Mateen was found not guilty in a criminal court. That does not mean he was exactly a sweet innocent person that committed no wrongs, nor does it mean he was unlikely to have committed them. He just needed 1 person to have some "reasonable doubt".
The list of sex assault allegations amongst the MSU basketball team the last decade is long and distinguished and several settled at the same time the Nassar thing was being dealt with.
The East Lansing DA office has been criminally negligent in failing to puruse charges and investigations against MSU athletes over the years.

covering up Zavier Simpson???? You mean that he was driving his teammates old Rav4 and slid into a snowbank with it? I think that has been pretty well covered everywhere.
just mysteriously resigned and nothing ever happened. The federal lawsuits are fascinating regarding it.
