Good episode last night - looks like next week may be even better with a Negan encounter!

Yea, finally get to see that other communities are out there too. Sounds like Negan might be the worse villain encountered yet.

Agreed... I believe there are only 4/5 episodes left in the season so things will get interesting quick. This has definitely been exciting

Something tells me the lack of humility regarding attacking Negan is not a good thing. However....

On "Talking Dead" they discussed Rick explaining it better.. that Negans guys will find Alexandria eventually and they are better off dictating how and when a battle happens. Sieze the initiative.. I like that. makes sense.

Any clue to how large the Negan army is (minus a few motorcyclists of course)?

Abraham had the line of the night: "when you were pouring Bisquick, were you expecting to make pancakes?" Good episode. Things are going to get interesting. I think Jesus may be more than meets the eye.

This is the best season since the 1st one.

Just remember like Game of Thrones, the TV show doesn't follow the comics/books 100% or even 50% to be honest.

On both shows there are characters that are still alive in the books that are dead on the TV show and vice versa, characters on the TV that don't exist in the books and vice versa.

While it seems certain that that a major event will happen in the season finale, it may or may not play out like it did in the comics. This season that have shots that are ripped right from the books, but they can be just trolling fans to keep them guessing.

Also please try not to post spoilers about things that have not happen yet!

So the guys watching the gate at the Hilltop have spears? Really? How have they survived this long?

Good episode. I like how there's a bit more action (and still some drama) this season. I'm hoping they start to develop some new characters, which they seem to be doing pretty well with Jesus.

I'm surprised that Jesus doesn't walk around with a stick at least (like Morgan).....

Do those gatekeepers actually use those spears for anything?

my guess is that we see Negan on the return to Alexandria. As the crew does not realize what they are getting into.

It was posted earlier in the thread, but I read it in Entertainment Weekly as well. We will not see Negan until the season finale. Good season so far.

Since every body and their mother knows Glenn died in the comic, the TV folks are going to bleed that anticipation as much as they can by keeping him alive and continually teasing the audience.

If I were to guess, I think the next major character to die is Abraham - many times the person they focus on with all the sentimental stuff is the next to bite the dust.

I agree with you that it will be Abraham. Now that there is only a small core of original characters left (Rick, Carl, Darryl, Carol, Michone, Maggie and Glen) it seems the thing to do is introduce a new character, build him or her up to become a main character and then kill them off. They seem hesitant to get rid of the main people that are left. I suppose there is always a chance, but I see that main core of characters sticking around.

SPOILERS....................

When Negan is introduced in the comics, he murders Glenn with his bat, it is pretty brutal. Maybe the most brutal death in the whole series, besides the baby getting killed. That happen during the prison part so the TV show skipped the baby death. The TV has been teasing Glenn getting killed all season, and it happen twice already... 3 strikes and you are out?

Abraham might just be a red herring... get it?

The TV writers are such trolls.... they will keep us all guessing.

Remember, in the comic, Andrea, Beth and Carol's daughter, Sophia are still alive. So, while similar, Comic and TV are very different. Also, in the comic NO DARYL!!!

Carole, because she has become dull, or Michonne, becase she has been bedded by Rick. The Bond girls die very often as well.

I think this compound is a total set up and Jesus is with negan.

On the spear thing.. or rather the lack of guns/ammo... I thought this country was overstocked with guns and ammo.. especially the south.. and military bases.. etc etc.. Jesus seems a capable scrounger... maybe it is a deal where Negan says.. gimme all your guns and ammo.. if you are ever found with either.. you're dead.

Remember, in the comics both Glenn and Abraham die. Negan's guy kills Abraham with a crossbow to the back of the head outside Alexandria's gate. Then Negan kills Glenn. Abraham is a dead man on the show. We see that. Question is will they do both deaths as in the comics or will they combine them and skip the crossbow and have Negan kill Abraham.

Is there a spoiler box on these forums to hide spoilers? That'd be a nice way to hide stuff so I would have actually been surprised watching this season.

Or they could throw people in a loop and kill Michone or Darryl instead.

Actually, now that I think about it, they are focusing way too much on Maggie's baby. That's it then! Maggie is a goner!!!

I doubt people really care who dies on the show ... with one exception. If Darryl dies, people will flip out. Which is hilarious because he's not a comic book character at all. Maybe Rick, since the show's about him, but even then, he pisses off a lot of people.
