Well, now that we have gotten a first glimpse of alexandria, a few thoughts.

It appears to me that the threat that eventually must come is likely to arise from outside the compound. I base that on the inmates that have appeared so far who have been judged as weak by Rick and the gang who by now should be incredibly good at sizing up potential foes. But then again, why did they take all their firearms and what happened to the pistol Rick stashed at that nearby ruined house? Rick becoming the long arm of the law again is an intriguing twist that will have to play into the next crisis somehow. I predict he will surely lock horns with the stylist girl's husband real soon. Going to be interesting to see how Carl's first foray into boy meets girl turns out.

On a very minor note, did anyone notice when Daryl was cleaning that possum on the steps how he just reached in a took the guts out in a bloody handful like he was taking money out of a wallet? To anyone who has ever dressed a harvested animal that had to appear quite absurd.

All those Zombies with chopped off heads, arms and legs will be in play. I think the group that took them out and took out Noah's group is going to be the next bad guy. After all this goes down the gay guy will be part of the group and cast. I wonder who is going to be knocked off for that to happen.

Also why is the support beams on the wall on the outside? It seems like you would want those to be on the inside to hold the wall up from outside pressure.<o:p>
</o

Also the gun missing from the blender was taken by the girl who climbed over the wall. She must have been out and watched him put it in the blender.<o:p></o

The beams on the outside was the first thing I noticed. Seemed odd to me as well.

I'm with this. Note that I haven't read the comics, so I'm going on total guesses, but I expect:
1. The 3 guys the congresswoman exiled will play in at some point, possibly being in the group chopping up zombies.
2. She knows there's an external threat, and targeted Rick's group to be their security/army.
3. The ROTC guy and his play pal aren't going to like being muscled out.

I have to say I'm getting tired of the "we take your guns for safety" crap. No one would do or put up with that anymore. I get that they want us to believe this area has fewer zombies because it was evacuated, but still... Even a safe community like this would have the traditional Swiss approach: everyone keeps an officially issued gun at home.

If you're not correct about the girl and the blender gun, that leaves two possibilities:
1. The Alexandrians were watching them on the way in.
2. The Zombie-choppers were watching them on the way in.

Either explanation sets up nicely for intrigue, but then again having Teenage Tarzan Jane save the day with a pistol produced from her backpack isn't bad, either.

I'm thinking the same thing. At some point, there's gonna be another group that the town lets in, and there's going to be some immediate friction. In addition, I think that a major character is going down by the end of this season. Those two comments about getting weak seemed like some heavy foreshadowing to me, and being that Carl was the first to say something about it, I wonder if it's going to be him.

On a final note, maybe I was reading into something that wasn't there, but did anyone else find the scene of Rick and Carl killing that small group of zombies to be a little strange? It was as if they were both going through zombie killin withdrawal, and they had to stab a few to feel better.

I put some thought into it after watching the TalkingDead. The executive producer was on the show and she said that they have been using that neighborhood since season 1. So I am guessing every time they have had to film in a neighborhood it was that one but different streets. She also said that they built the fence and seven houses in that neighborhood. I am guessing that many of the home owners did not want those support beams in their yards so they put them on the outside. <o:p></o> Just guessing.

"We will take your guns for safety." You are right. I would have to thank them for their offer and then head on to DC or where ever. There is no rational reason to give them up.

Yep, I can go with that, but I'm gonna go ahead and call it that we're going to lose one of the badasses by the end of this season in somewhat of a shocking twist. They seem to be really pushing Rick, Carl, Glen, and Daryl as maintaining their toughness while some of the others like Carol and Michonne are trying to ease up a little.

Come to think of it, the conflict between Michonne and Rick has been interesting lately. She's really wanting to believe that they can all start a new life in Alexandria, and it's interesting that she and Rick were given similar jobs. I wonder if she's going to end up letting her guard down at some point, and this season will be it for her?

There is supposed to be a mystery cast member guest on the talking dead next week. That usually means somedody is gone.

They said the little girl came from the outside. My guess is she stole the gun and is a mole of the "Wolves" or whoever the group is who's chopping zombies. My guess is there's going to be some action between Rick and the people inside Alexandria and then they will have to come together to battle this outside group. I expect by the end of the season we lose Tara, Noah, Carol, and Daryl. I think the hurt gay dude dies too, but so will a lot of other Alexandria locals. Should be an exciting end of the season.

I've only watched a couple of episodes so I'm out of touch. But do the zombies have sex? Probably not. I wouldn't want to have sex with another zombie.

Funny thing that Z Nation that is a Syfi show had a episode where the zombies got into the Viagra was were doing it.

Anyone pick up on Carol playing the old, weak, sweet, housewife card? When she took her gun off she acted like she was uncomfortable with it and made a goofy face, then Rick gave her this look like 'you clever *****'. Then she says how she really misses her husband when being interviewed. That dude was a POS and she hasn't thought about him since. Now they've given her this job where everyone thinks shes this sweet mom who cooks for everyone. They will think she's one of them and confide in her, possibly tell her things that Rick may not like to hear but she'll still be the same Carol who murdered a little girl and took down Terminus by herself. Unless I'm way off base, something has to come from her playing this card.

Good observation. I was "wait, what?" about her comments about her husband. Makes sense now that she's playing the sweet, weak lady card.

Makes sense with her comment about getting weak to Rick, as well.

They can read each other without saying anything. Seems like they are all on the same wavelength.

I thought the Alexandria crowd may be trying to play dumb to fool the group... but it seems like it may be the other way around. Especially with Ricks comment at the cut-away to end the episode.

He was an architect so I'm guessing he went with aesthetics inside the community instead of common sense. Walkers/Roamers can't break glass much less tear down wall supports so it's pretty on the inside and would withstand anything the Walkers could do.

Could Morgan be tailing them and saw Rick stash the gun? Possible but my bets on the girl.

Four shows left this season

Ha ha, you would know that a Congress woman is in charge of this joint. This joint is dysfunctional, & they have never really had to Dook it out.

Just give up your guns... screw that.

If I were a zombie, before taking a bite out of my human catch(female of course) I would bend her over and.....well you know the rest. Then finish her off with as my dinner. I would make a good writer for The Walking Dead.

when the congress woman was talking about the evacuation of 2 million people from northern virgina, it would make sense that they could be so untested and weak and really, naive about what the outside world is really like....better believe a storm is coming as people start to reoccupy the area and the 60 mile radius they have not scouted past.

I don't know if its this, but in the comic they push dirt up against the walls from the inside to reinforce them and give them a ledge to stand and shoot from. That would explain the supports on the outside

My guess is the comic Carl found in the attack. Was titled "Wolf Attack". When he brought it to the boys they said it was Enid's.

True... as long as you're not fighting against them in a video game. Get on a playstation, and those mother17ers can hit you with a Molotov with pinpoint accuracy from about 80 yards away

We visited this set back in October. It is in Senoia, GA and is where most of the series has been filmed. You are right about the braces being in yards. This neighborhood is a small new neighborhood just off downtown Senoia. It doesn't even show up on iPhone maps yet other than just the streets. There wasn't room to put the braces on the inside due to area congestion.

A neat thing that I'm guess we won't see in the show but pay attention to in the background: If you are on the North side of this walled in neighborhood you are standing on the railroad tracks that most of last season were filmed. Right on the other side of the tracks is downtown Senoia, AKA Woodbury. If you are standing where the main gate of Woodbury was looking South you can literally throw a rock and hit the wall around the neighborhood. The gate that Rick and the crew entered is on the East side. There is a bigger gate on the North side but I think it's a gate for residents and film crew.

Neat place to visit. I believe they'll be filming there for another season or so.
