Original - mind blowing. Best special effects in a year that had both The Phantom Menace and The Mummy. When I hacked directv back then people were always amused when I put the emulator stream up since it looked like a miniversion of the matrix stream.

Animatix - some very good segments and did a good job with the back story.

Matrix website - it seemed mildly interesting at the time.

Rest of sequels - meh. At that point just wanted to see the conclusion.

This one - I get HBOMax so will probably watch it. Curious if it has the quality to spawn a new trilogy.

None of these movies should be confused with 80's John Matrix.

I know I’m in the minority, but I’ve always felt that the Matrix was a great advertisement for special effects but a mediocre & dull movie. Much like the 3D version of Avatar. Never seen any of the sequels.

Certainly better than this last Matrix dreck I watched.

I just went to see it. Well it had to set the scene for next film that is for sure. Who knows.

The HBO animated series was excellent. Movie - not so much.

Saw it last night. Highly recommend with the caveat below.

Just know the story is about the romance between Neo and Trinity, as much or more than anything else.

It had action, sure, but it’s all about Neo/Trinity and (IMO) “fixing” the end of Matrix 3.

I think it met that goal. Have seen it and Spider-Man. IMO, I’d see this a second time before Spidey (I know many will disagree).

Lots of Easter Eggs too, for old school Matrix fans.
