the Brazilian release included a translation that was both singular and male, until too many people commented on it and it was taken down. Take from that what you will.

What? Why does Portuguese even have a different word for Jedi? We don't translate, Taco, Crepe, Spaghetti, Mariachi, Samurai, Sushi, etc. Yes, only two of those are people, but Jedi is a relatively new word & a fictional one at that. Why was their even a translation on that word?

Or was it on the article, THE?

I was leaning that way after watching the movie again then I watched this.

It's a little long but it covers some of the things I noticed.

Not trying to argue with you you here, but how did you come to understand that Darth Plagueis died in the AOTC timeline? I thought it was an "old Sith legend."

I guess this is Legends so, it certainly may not be true. But my source is this nerd.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQSr52qP1j8

IF his timeline is correct, Palpatine didn't kill Plageius until "the night before he was elected Supreme Chancellor" which by my account/understanding was in Attack of the Clones when Darth Jar Jar nominated him. I could see the argument for when Padme requested that Palpatine be granted "emergency powers" in The Phantom Menace. So, by this account Darth Maul would have been alive as Palpatine's apprentice while Palpatine was still Plageius's apprentice.

I guess it's all how it is taken. When Palpatine was telling Anakin about the Legend of Plageius the wise it certainly seems to be inferred that Palpatine was the "apprentice who killed him in his sleep"- although it's not explicitly shown in the movie for some reason. I would think that would be a pretty important plot point that I would have liked to have seen as opposed to Anakin rolling around in the grass with Padme and a space hippopotamus.

And since we're talking about Star Wars Anthologies, I wouldn't mind seeing one about Sidious and Plageius and how they planned to take over the universe and the under workings of that. Of course that's prequel stuff so there's a good chance that probably won't happen. They could also delve into Anakin's alleged virgin birth and settle things like this that the fans have formed theories about. Maybe call it Rise of the Sith or something like that and have Jedi Master Sypho Dyas and then Jedi Count Dooku sent to investigate a possible new Sith only to have Dooku turn to the Dark Side and kill Jedi Master Sypho Dias and use him as the alias to build the Clone Army. And then end it with Palpatine killing Plageius.

Add me to the list of not wanting a Boba Fett movie. If you are going to do a stand alone make it about Obi Wan prior to EP 1.

I would be totally down with an Obi Wan standalone movie from that point in time. Maybe have him get called into action by the Rebellion to do some dangerous mission. It would make Episode Four make even more sense as to why they would all of a sudden 18-20 years later decide "oh- I guess it's time to get Obi Wan Kenobi now" if he had a track record of helping out. Otherwise it seems kind of random. But it HAS to have a badass lightsaber duel between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader where Obi-Wan wins again.

The rumor is that they cannot do an Obi Wan movie yet because there will be some details revealed in Episodes 8-9 about his time on Tatooine. Once that is revealed they will begin production on his own movie (and possibly more).

That was worth the entire movie...... Speaking of the Sith, what about Inquisitors? They have Force powers
A fan of Star Wars Rebels I see? That show and Star Wars Clone Wars are a must watch for any Star Wars fan.

There's been a few points he made that make it plausible, and some are just dumb like "she's his granddaughter because she screamed nooo when Han died and he screamed nooo when qui gon died". The fact he communicated with her like Luke communicated with Lei and DV has me thinking there related now.

I have hopes that Ep IX will end with Luke learning how to use the Force to go back in time. The last scene will show him traveling back in time to the day his father was born in an attempt to save him from the Dark Side. J J can then come back and re-write Ep 1-3!

Pretty much my view. I don't know why they couldn't have gotten a little more creative. Bigger Death Star, unsuspecting young person with ties to the Jedi gets discovered, goes to train with Jedi in hiding, etc. there are some differences but still too similar. overall the awesomeness overcame that imo. Can't wait to find out snokes origin and what's next for that aspect.
It held pretty true to the ring theory. I thought that both of them were great, but TFA even goes so far as to start on a desert planet.

In the opening scroll in Ep VII it says ...Luke Skywalker, the last Jedi... Maybe it means nothing, maybe it does

I don't think the title means that there will be no more just that Luke will have a large role in this film and at this point in the story, he is the last remaining Jedi.
