Great start but they now have some pitching injuries. Are they the real deal in the AL or do they come back to the pack?

A wise MLB fan once told me to ignore the standings until 40 games are played.

Thoughts?

A’s Tigers Nats Sawx
4 horrible teams but you still have to go out and win the game

Have hit 32 HR and given up only 30 runs

every time I hear about the Devil Rays ( just the Rays now) I keep on remembering when the Suncoast Dome was built to entice the White Sox to head south and everyone thought the St.Pete Sox would be playing there.
But the Whie Sox stayed in Chicago after reaching a deal with the city for a new ballpark and Tampa had to wait till the AL decided to expand

Great start for them, racking up wins as they can get them. The key is to win enough to make the playoffs and hope for good health and a hot streak to get to the World Series.

Yankees won 11 straight last April/May and people had them winning the series
Every spring there is a baseball streak that ends up more sizzle than steak

Means nothing.
They have tied the record of the 1987 Milwaukee Brewers. Who lost 12 in a row later. Were a .500 team at the All Star break. Missed the playoffs.

Don’t see this team going on an extended losing streak. They are too solid in all areas. They will probably come back to earth some, but they seem to be very legit this year.

I hope they stay and figure out their own stadium issues as well.

And yes, I hear “Devil Rays” too when they come up in conversation.

He isn't a Yankee fan. He is a douche Mets fan constantly trolling the Yankees thread.

I never bet on games. I had a boss late 90’s- early 2000’s that made serious cash along with most of our sales team.
He was betting 20-50k per week. The other sales guys dropping 2-10k. But they didn’t have bookies taking that sort of cask so our owner would just add it to his bets. 2006- he got pinched in a huge Bergen Co gambling ring tgat also included badabing- but he was the only one with cash- so they seized his personal cash and froze his business assets and cash. Only allowed to pay salary and medical.
We all lost mid 6 to low 7 figures a year.

Glad I did not bet with him and never would now .

That's some big coin. Had one crazy weekend reds got off to like a 40-5 start or something ridiculous like that and the braves were opposite. Bet doubleheader up in Cincy 200x'ers ea game with 2 different bookies braves swept them and was down like 12.2k on those 2 games laying big odds. Bet every game across the board the next day sunday 100xer or 200xer won back 10k. Was happy as pog in **** I lost 2200 for the week. Needed to win on sunday last day of week Learned my lesson and never went large again. I had still bet the occasional 100xer.

Think Jack Armstrong got off to like a 13-0 start that yr and sucked the rest of the way. Have not bet in like 30 or so years. Overall won over like 5 or 6yrs but very stressful and couldnt watch any sports w/o wanting to break something so packed it in
