Without engaging in futile political discourse, I just hope some of the 'celebrities' keep their promise and actually move to another country. That includes Justice Ginsburg.
And I wish you would move to another country, one that doesn't believe in tolerance, respect, and acceptance.

Like the hired thugs rioting, destroying property, blocking traffic and threatening anarchy? Are they paying you also?

I love it here and I'm not one of the 47.7 million people who voted they way you wanted or demanded. Some of them obviously do not believe in "..tolerance, respect, and acceptance."

One more thing, pal. I'm going to block you now so I don't have to read anymore of your B.S.

Don't worry MW, I got your back... ...if he talks any trash I'll quote it. That way you'll still see it .

I can always depend on you, Ma'am. Orlaco is an acronym, is it not? Not a big deal, I just do not want to call you Ms. Orlaco when that is not your last name. It's a southern gentleman thing.

Justice Ginsburg is a great legal mind. She deserves respect. I respect your vote, although I do believe that a President owes it to all of the people of this nation to be respectful of other views, belief systems, and attitudes. I imagine you hate the protesters because you cannot empathize with the fear that statements Trump made caused in other FELLOW AMERICANS, I imagine you are a white, Christian male? Nothing wrong with that, but there is something wrong with seeing America as only a country for people like you.

I also imagine you block most thoughts and opinions that cause cognitive dissonance and force critical thinking about other viewpoints. I'm devastated....I mean that....it is unAmerican for discourse to cower in the face of resentment, racism, sexism, and religious elitism.

Thank you. He took a potshot at Ginsburg, I felt she needed defending. WV isn't as intolerant as most people outside the mountains believe.
Also I understand the Trump vote. Our political system is broken, and although I don't agree that he is a better choice, I understand people's desire to drop traditional politics and politicians. I just don't like the anti-liberal attitudes....it should be about policy.....not the polarization.

The anti-white attitudes are more abundant and disparaging, imo. Clinton never discussed policy during this election, which contributed to her downfall. It was all about shaming anyone who supported Trump, and in many ways shaming anyone who was white or disagreed with her parties views.

I spent the last several years of my underground career as an electrician certified by WVMHST. The very first day I was being trained by the WV Mining Extension Service our instructor spent the entire day showing us graphic videos of electrocutions, reading us MSHA "fatalgrams" where men had been electrocuted, and he kept pounding in the point that you only get one mistake when working with electricity. It almost made me back out of the training but it left an impression on me that I never forgot.

A cardinal rule, at least according to WVMHST is that no work can be performed anywhere that power could possibly be present, that everything is locked, tagged, and tried. Anyone caught working without any of those conditions would have their certification revoked on the spot. As for me, I never worked on a circuit without testing it with a volt meter on top of all the other precautions.

In all the years I worked as an electrician we had two incidents - one where a 600 volt 3 phase circuit breaker exploded when the electrician tried to reset it. He wasn't wearing gloves and was at eye level with the breaker which resulted in him getting burns on his hands and face. The other was when a guy forgot about the "feed through" circuit and got into 12,470 volts and somehow survived. If he would have followed proper procedure the "feed through" would have been de-energized too. The only close call I personally witnessed was when another electrician didn't take time to read the wiring diagram and started working on a 120 volt control circuit without realizing the control transformer picked up its power on the "hot" side of the visual disconnect. The 12470 feeding the transformer was off but there was still 120 running through the relays and ground monitors. Luckily and after some arguing with him I got him stopped before he got "bit".

The highest voltage circuit I ever had to work on was at a 38,000 volt sub-station.........I was nervous as a ***** in church even though I knew it was de-energized.

As for your friend...........I'm sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what it would be to walk in on something like that.

She talked about policy plenty. It was about getting people that do not believe with Democratic ideology (climate change, welfare, accepting refugees and immigrants seeking a safe haven) to see how Trumps actions (and the actions of some of his supporters) were initiating racist, sexist, islamophobic, and homophobic sentiment. Clinton wasn't a great choice, but I see a much different America than Trump, and it sounds like you, see.

No victim here, just someone who is embarrassed by the regression I see in many, and the white, Christian elitist views that exist in the WVU community.

Oh... ....WV had enough electoral votes to influence the election ?

Please stop (me and you)... ...I didn't want this to turn into a political thread.

She did not discuss policy. Her whole campaign was about shaming Trump and his supporters. That's not my opinion, her own staffers have discussed this and it's in some of the leaked emails.

She didn't present an agenda. She didn't do it against Bernie, either. Bernie at least presented an agenda. Right or wrong, he brought his agenda to the people. So did Trump. Clinton was the only candidate who failed to articulate an agenda to the voters. She built a campaign around a falsehood of anti-white racism, and it failed.

You're just repeating her talking points, and you appear to be the closed-minded bigot in this discussion, not me.

The " white Christian elitists" who put Trump in office where the same "elitists" who put Obama in office in '08 and re-elected him in '12. Now answer me this, in 2008 and 2012, were you calling those same folks racists and bigots when they were voting for a black man with the middle name Hussein to be President of our country?

Those same "elitists" are mostly out of work, or under-employed, middle-class Americans who merely want a good economy and opportunity - and instead of listening to them, Hillary and her supporters decided to marginalize and shame them as bigots and racists.

As far as politics go, 30 states voted for one candidate and 20 for the other. Twenty states cannot force a leader on all 50. If that were the case, half a dozen could potentially elect every president. That is the reason each state has two senators and we have the electoral vote.

Trump won the election by winning Rust Belt states. Anyone who is from that region could see why Trump was the more appealing vote. He talked about NAFTA, which is an issue that doesn't get much play nationally but in that region is a big topic, and Obamacare which has been a major problem for folks.

I don't like that Trump is our President, but I see how it happened and it wasn't about racism or bigotry. These folks don't care about gays, or minorities - they just want to work, and get things rolling again in their small towns. That region has been drained of jobs, schools, churches, ect. for three decades and politicians have totally ignored them.....so don't blame racism when they decide to finally toss a grenade into the system.

If you get bored and looking for a read, you might enjoy. Don't let the title scare you off.

http://www.vox.com/2016/4/21/11451378/smug-american-liberalism

Interesting read, very profound. I have no idea how Trump will perform as president, but I believe I do know how he was actually elected. I didn't vote FOR Trump, I voted against Hillary, anyone but Hillary. So did many others.

Bill Clinton was a rube but also a very intelligent and educated redneck that took advantage of women sexually with his political power. Hey, what's the point in being the leader of the free world if you can't get a blowjob from an adoring intern? He was also a very effective president. Age has taken its toll on his body and mind, but even now Hillary is no Bill Clinton. She couldn't carry his unused condoms.

Its so ironic how the ones that bring up tolerance, respect, and especially acceptance are the ones that are truly the most bigoted.

Funny that....................

The democratic party was the party that used to champion the working class.............they switched to academia, Hollywood, college educated liberal elites. They got put in their places by those they left behind and forgot about.

I am loving the fall out. I'm a democrat than I voted Trump.

Hope everybody has a great Thanksgiving !!

Along with all my friends and family I'll be hitting the turkey day Epic Buffet at Hollywood casino in PA. If you happen to be there look for the person sitting alone and wearing sunglasses...iced tea with a plate loaded with mashed potatoes (right around 11 am).

Feel free to say hello... ...and my name is pronounced Or-Lack-Oh.
