OT: St. Louis

My family is going to St. Louis this weekend for the gymnastics Olympic trials at America's Center. I was planning to stay near the center, but there appears to be plenty of parking, so I don't feel obligated to stay within walking distance. Where's the best place to stay in St. Louis? And is the downtown area mostly safe?

Man, I'd stay at the Center if you can. There are tons of restaurants and attractions within walking distance. We loved the area.

We like staying at the Hyatt Regency by the Arch.

Go eat at Rooster for breakfast or brunch.

Sugarfire is solid BBQ

Both of those aren’t far from the America’s Center

For something a little fun go eat at The Twisted Ranch for lunch.

I enjoyed the Art Museum. In fact all of Forest Park is nice.

Central West End is nice. Great restaurants, beautiful old homes, close to cathedral, museums, Forest Park, botanical gardens. Appx 20 mins from America's Center.
