Kylin goes off and has a productive career in the NFL, will that change the perspective of folks who have bad feelings towards him for how he left and would they still claim him as a bulldog?

Not saying he will or trying to predict the future. Considering I’ve had his back on here before, don’t take that into consideration with your answer.

Not looking for an argument, just curious.

I’d love him to go have a productive career, and I’ll always claim him. But that doesn’t change my feelings that he seemed to tap out every other play, only seemed to show up for half the games, and came across as a bit of a head case. I’m glad we changed the flag, but I’m pretty neutral about his whole role in that because of how much of a prima donna he was in everything else

I’m not big into what if’s but I think a lot of people would be higher on him had he stayed the rest of the season. Left a bad taste in peoples mouth and they found more reasons to hate him because of it.

I will remember the special things he did here and I’ll remember the not so special things he did here. Other than that, good luck kid, you’re gonna need it. Don’t bad mouth State or speak ill of the citizens of Mississippi ( not counting the idiots that deserve to be called out) and I’ll root for you when not playing Dak.

Got a feeling about 10-15 years from now we’ll be having a few under the blue tent after a win over bama and someone will say, “What ever happened to that Kylie boy?” To which someone will reply, “I don’t know, but he sure could run, when he wanted to.”

I think it was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Some of his antics rubbed people the wrong way.

He’s talented though. I expect him to get drafted. And, I’ll always be thankful for his role in getting the flag changed. Honestly, I don’t blame him for opting out. RBs only get so many carries. Might as well get paid for them.

I think he’s a head case but I also think he’s a pretty talented RB. I also never remember him saying or doing anything to disrespect Mississippi State. I wish him the best and I think he will have a good career in the NFL. Not sure if he’s a starter or not but he’s good enough to be on a roster.

One thing he’ll have going for him is there won’t be many RB’s as talented as him with a body as fresh as his in the draft. Think of the miles that had been put on Dixon and Norwood by the time the jerseys had to be taken from them. The one thing going against him is he didn’t love that uniform enough to even fight for it.

What special things did he do here? He had a bunch of potential, but nothing special ever really came of it. The guy simply had a bad attitude, that held him back.

First time I hear “Kylin Hill- Columbus High School” on SNF I’m out **

I was just getting ready to say...this is what will determine whether fans claim him and will pull for him or not. As long as he says Miss. State University and keeps his nose clean then people will claim him.

I don’t have many bad or good feelings about him leaving early. That might be different if we ran a more conventional run-based offense, but RB is more of a “next man up” position in Leach’s offense anyway. We weren’t ever going to take full advantage of Kylin’s strengths in this system.

I hope he has a great NFL career. Can only help perception of MSU and recruiting going forward.

I’m claiming him now. Never stopped. As I’ve said previously, he will always be associated with MSU so I want him to succeed.

I think no matter what success he has people will remember him more fondly in the future than thye do now. That is how life works and time heals. He was tough to root for because he seemed soft and made it seem that he was bigger than the team. I don't know if that is how he felt but that is what was portrayed. At the end of the day he was college kid and I don't hold ill will against him. I just prefer to watch a Vick Ballard any day over a Kylin Hill.

I have no ill will. I think whoever drafts him is getting a steal. It only took Cam Akers around 10 games to go from 2nd round pick to the next big time RB.

I don’t slot Hill that high but if he keeps his head out his own *** and can move the chains on 3rd down...the PT will come. That’s exactly what happen in LA with Cam.

Doesn't matter what Joe regular claims. MSU, itself, will claim him.

Q is: will he claim State? We shall see.

I don't have any ill will towards him at all. Just a little disappointed. When the going got tough, he didn't seem to get going.

Cmon guys the guy commited to play for Dan. He played for three coaches. He showed what he needed to. It’s dangerous for a running back that’s almost certainly got a pro career to be catching 100+ balls in a year, linebackers drool for a chance to hit a big time running back like him while he’s trying to catch a ball. If he got advice from his agent not to play in the air raid his whole senior year it was good advice.Im just proud of him for sticking out jomo throwing 59 passes a game and then still breaking records .

the NFL is cutthroat...Kylin Hill will be defined by how he adapts and works.

He had almost no role in getting the flag changed.
How can you say that? If he hadn't made that post, the flag doesn't get changed. Sure, someone else might have done it eventually, but sorry, he gets credit for that, even if he didn't mean to do it, and was just being his typical head case self.

Did he influence legislative votes? No, but the process doesn't even start without his little flare-up. To deny that is your own self-delusion.

While the outcome in this case was a good thing, it is a little concerning that a head case college kid's twitter post can inspire such a big ordeal. But nonetheless, that is what happened and that is where we are. We also don't have a football season last year had it not been for Trevor Lawrence's letusplay campaign so maybe it can be a good thing? Or maybe it shows that the current generation in charge is weak and reactive?

The flag was getting changed regardless.

You can be dumb if you want but seems like a really bad choice.

I'll remember him for his time here with the facts. He was a soft, self centered quitter. You can call it an opt out if it makes you feel good but he left his teammates after 3 games. For those of you who say he was told to leave by Leach then you can add "liar" to the aforementioned "soft, self centered, quitter" description because he announced he was opting out, not thrown off the team.

Like Tommy Kelly. Very average @ MSU; NFL he is now productive.

Cannot blame these young men for investing in their own longevity and doing what is best for them in their chosen careers. RBs last a handful of years max, so kudos to Kylin for realizing that he would not be utilized based on his skillsets at MSU under Leach. Thus, decided to tap out and wait until the NFL to see if he can accomplish his lifetime goal.

Kylin Hill's tweet about refusing to play came three days after both the SEC and NCAA joined forces to prohibit post-season play in the state of Mississippi until the flag was changed. I can guarantee you this had a hell of a lot more to do with the flag being changed than Kylin did.

Kylin Hill will always be a Bulldog. Doesn't matter what opinion anyone has on here. I will definitely claim him because he did play for us and was 2nd in the SEC in rushing his last full year of playing. This year didn't really matter anyway and him leaving actually helped us prepare for next year. I wish him best of luck in the NFL.

I believe he received waaayyy too much credit for getting the flag changed. That flag was going to be changed with or without him. Period. As far as not playing in the air raid goes, I think that will eventually hurt him and RBs in the nfl are seemingly more important being able to catch out of the backfield. He possibly could have helped his draft stock playing in Leach's offense for a WHOLE season.

He wore the maroon and white (and silver, and matte black, etc.), so I want him to do well in the NFL as a continued advertisement for how we produce pro-caliber players. We did quite well during the Mullen era, and I'm fearful of that falling off. So, whether you think he was a quitter or he was a good player in a poor system for him, I think it only matters that he makes a team for the sake of our future recruiting.
