Ok,I need help here and if I get it, I'll get out of my wife's dog house for going to Saturday's game.

My wife is very health conscious and is big on smoothies. She has been using a Vitamix smoothie maker and today it blew up on her. Evidently they don't make this line of mixers anymore and she can't figure out what to replace it with. I use a Nutri-bullit but that's not good enough for her as she puts a lot of stuff that needs chopping beyond the nutri-bullits abilities in her smoothies.

Looking for suggestions on what can replace the Vitamix and my ability to enjoy Saturday's tailgate depends on it. Any help is appreciated.

We have the Vitamix 6300. Not sure of it's status, but there is a new one listed on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B008FJEQYE/ref=dp_olp_0?ie=UTF8&condition=all

Might want to wait a week and check the curb outside the Hale Center. Might be a clearance on smoothie makers in favor of these:

I use The Ninja. I'm not home to take a picture but I love it. :) (edit: found it online) Bed Bath and Beyond and you can probably use a 20% coupon. https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/st...ade-with-auto-iq-reg/5393885?categoryId=13138

I have the Ninja auto IQ also. Does everything I need it for and much less expensive than the vitamix.

I make smoothies with fruits vegetables protein whey powder and water. Can make different types of drinks.

Also use it to chop chicken breasts to make spinach chicken burgers, works great.

Call Vitamix. They will help you choose the right model. They have a commercial and residential side of the business. I called the commercial people...explained what I wanted...similar to the one I had that was worn out. Was going to buy a new one and then the Vitamix guy asked me for the serial number on my old one. Turns out is was still under warranty (7 years later) and they fixed it free. They even paid the shipping. Call them.

Costco has a sale on a 7500 Vitamix bundle for 529. Not cheap, but some things are cheaper then counseling. The boss says QVC has deals on them in January.

I have the Vitamix. Would rather have the Ninja. You could go cheap on Amazon or at Lidl for now and then buy the desired blender.

I bought the original Ninja kitchen system back in 2015. Came with the blender, two single serving size cups with lids, the food processor piece and a few attachments. It's still like the day it was new and we've made smoothies with every fruit imaginable, cubed ice right from the freezer, my daughter uses frozen fruit right out of the freezer, the thing is a beast. The pieces are all durable and top notch. The only negative, which I don't care about, has been that it is a bit loud. I never had to run it more than a couple of seconds, though, because the thing is so powerful that you finish with a quart plus of your smoothie mix in literally 3 or 4 seconds.

Swap out pineapple for spinach and ginger and you got the makings of my favorite at a local juice bar:

Organic kale, Organic Spinach, Cucumber, Lemon, Celery, Ginger, Green Apple

Not only that, but she's getting almost as much sugar as in a can of Coke.

She'd be way better off dicing the celery, cucumber, and apple, and tossing it with the kale and lime juice and eating it as a salad. Then she can have 1/4 cup of pineapple for dessert.

.. She didn't care about the sugar. She wanted a delicious drink with some nutrients. It sounds gross, but actually tastes really good. And she'll have 8 oreos for dessert instead of pineapple. LOL Thanks Doc:Wink:

Amazing with Ezekiel sesame bread.
I make my own, but have tried it out at about 20 different establishments. The best I have found is Blue Stone Lane Hoboken. That paired with a coffee with a barista who does some fine latte art and I'm smiling all morning..

Looks amazing. What is on it?

Of course I need an espresso now after seeing the coffee.

KALE, yuck.

Funny story about kale, my wife was starting her healthy eating kick and bought home Kale. I said, "I'm not eating that." She proceeded to get pissed and said "fine", chucking it off the deck for the pigs. The pigs proceeded to push it around with their noses and they wouldn't eat it. I said, "see the pigs won't even eat it". I almost got hit with a plate that night.

Highly recommend this one, super powerful Portable and Outdoor cordless blender that can crush ice, frozen and large chunks of fruits and veggies. I use mine to make ice drinks at tailgating events, barbecued etc. We love it!
