OT: Smith County Watermelons

For those who are into watermelons, go to the weekend Watermelon Festival in Water Valley, MS held annually around this time. But don't go up there bragging about another county's melons.....thems might be fightin' words! It's a fun event though serious.

For those in Texas, your location for watermelons is Luling. Texas fights about everything, so not sure what you should avoid saying

I grew up in Mize. Watermelon Festival is July 19-20. It's good redneck fun: seed spitting contest and greased watermelon race. Just pay entry and get all the watermelon you can eat: red meat, yellow meat, seedless.
