Holy moly, Nova almost pulled the choke to end all chokes. Crazy ending. Game winning three for SHU rims out after Nova missed a ton of free throws that could have iced the game. No title tonight for SHU.

Hall didn't look like they knew they were the home team tonight. Soft.

Wally Szerbiac called Seton Hall a paper tiger several weeks ago. I wouldn’t want to play them in ncaas.

I think Nova shot 3-12 on the foul line in about the last minute & a half. It was almost a monster choke.Gillespie who was 82.9 % bricked two in a row .

Nova is such a weird team. No inside game, but in typical Wright fashion, they all can shoot the three.

Powell was off tonight and so was SHUs perimeter defense.

They needed Rhoden or Cale to step up and neither did.

3-way tie for the conference championship

I watched the last 3 minutes and both teams took turns trying to lose it. SH had enough opportunities to catch up, but couldn't.
After the Nova FT horror show, we look average. A few guys had chances to hit them too. I think they missed 9 in a row, some 1&1 and a few 2's. Didn't seem to matter who took them. Finally made one to keep the margin at 3 and eventually 2. SH had a chance to tie or win it in the last 12 secs, but couldn't convert.

That last shot would not have counted. Still in his hand when the clock went to 0.00

Best of Luck,

I thought it was very uncharacteristic of Villanova to shoot so poorly from the FT down the stretch. The left the door open but the Hall was unable to seize the opportunity at the end. Did not expect Nova to win that game.

I’ve only seen pieces of SHU games here and there this season.

I’ll say this, that Mamu kid has turned into a phenomenal player. He can play the 4 or the 5. He can shoot. He can pass. He can defend. He can drive to the basket. He can make free throws. He’s a special player.

Watched the last 7-8 min or so. SHU looked really bad for a long stretch right at the end, then suddenly had a surge to make a game of it too late.

Just when you think maybe the Hall is Final Four worthy they pull a clunker like this.... at home no less.
Senior Night is always tricky to figure. I feel like I've seen it negatively affect teams more than they have gotten an emotional boost from it. I think it took a toll last night. Plus, Villanova's not exactly chopped liver.

Not to make excuses for them, but I think the senior night pregame ceremonies were very emotional and caused them to come out unfocused and flat.

They had a record crowd of 16,800 which was 95% Hall fans but Nova brought their A game

On that last SHU possession, I thought McKnight had a lane to the basket and was surprised when he kicked it out. I just watched the replay again and it does look like the Nova defender would have closed the lane, but there's a good chance it would have been a blocking foul. Oh well.

Agree, didn't get that. Only need 2 there, not 3.... much better percentage for McKnight from 2 feet out (with the chance for a foul) than a corner three attempt.
