Sad, you would think a guy this big would be visible to a motorist, even on a bike.

Saw this article just as I came in from my ride today. Definitely always a risk being out on a bike, had a few close calls.

Heart breaking, Back in the day RU, BYU, Maryland and somebody else had a tourney at MSG. Sean Bradley was fun and interacted with the fans... namely I and a few others. Hope he will be okay, Saddened.

All you need to do is watch the nut jobs driving 15-25 miles over the speed limit to see that this is out of control. One other thing people don’t ride on the streets if at all possible.

Two things I avoid: Bike and motor bike.

Our roads are not designed for bikes but cars and trucks.

There is no room to ride a bike safely.

Shawn is a great guy with tremendous work ethic. I had the pleasure of being next door neighbors with Shawn at 5 star back in high school. No one out worked that kid. If there was free time Shawn wasn't swimming or hanging in his room. He was on the court working with the big man coaches. He was first out of bed in the morning and last in at night.

I am sure he still carries that with him today. Prayers Shawn.

Two of my clients had traumatic brain damage after being hit by cars while bike riding. One had is head bounce off of a telephone pole onto a fire hydrant, the other would have died if a nurse driving by did not give him an emergency tracheostomy on the spot. I'll stick to golf.

Two of my friends on bikes were hit a year apart in 2011-12 and are in wheelchairs. The second catastrophe converted me to riding in the woods. If I am on the road on a bike at all, I am running two blinking head and tail lights and, preferably, seeking out MUTs.

Like @zappaa said above, there are too many people texting/gramming. I have seen two texting accidents in the last 3 years and literally hundreds of people watching the screen, "for just a second."
