In Rome for a few days, just wondering if anyone here knows of any good places to eat or things to do close to town. We’re here for a golf tournament so not a ton of free time. Thanks for any suggestions.

Rome Braves is a good minor league experience unfortunately they don't start until May. Yellow Jacket Drive Inn in Calhoun is a good greasy spoon burger joint.

If any of y'all are into art, try out Howard Finster's Paradise Garden in Summerville.

Amazing place only about a half hour away.

Link: Here.

Try the Harvest Moon Cafe - good food there. I would also recommend the Honeymoon Bakery - the owner was on the Food Network's Spring Baking Championship. Both places are excellent.

Thanks for the suggestion, we went to Harvest Moon tonight and everyone at the table really enjoyed their food. There are many more options here than I thought when got into town yesterday. We’ll definitely hit the Honeymoon Bakery before we leave Sunday.

drive down the road a little ways to Cedartown and take in a skydive ... The Tellus Science Museum is in Cartersville and that's pretty cool. The Etowah Indian mounds are not far. At one time the Rome, Ga Hooters had an incredible amount of talent ... not sure if they were retained. I'm doing a hotel on campus for Berry College - stop in and tell them I'm watching them through a site webcam

Thanks for suggestions, we had a good time there. Cool little downtown strip with some good restaurants. The golf course / club was very nice. I will say that is a weird little town though.

I think you’d be remiss to not go to the OG Chik-Fil-A
