I know who he was. Granted Mills Lane is more recognizable, but NJ's own Tony Perez refereed arguably more important and historic fights. Tony Perez passed away last December without a RIP thread, but could have missed it.

Normally when the response is a the one word "who?", it indicates lack of familiarity whatsoever with the individual OR the insignificance of a prominent stature. I feel remiss not realizing you one word answer actually meant we should be acknowledging Mills less and another individual more. This on Mills' own RIP thread.

We also didn't have a RIP thread for Generalissimo Francisco Franco, who by all reports is still dead.
