Professor McGonagall for the Harry Potter fans out there.

Also in the Sister Act movies. And in Hook.

Thought that was her. Wonder when Hogwarts starts the search for her replacement?

She won TWO Oscars in a long career (1st film 72 years ago). She was fit enough to do topless scenes back in the day. Kids all know her from Harry Potter. She's a bit underrated tbh

"She received numerous accolades including two Academy Awards, five BAFTA Awards, four Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and a Tony Award as well as nominations for six Laurence Olivier Awards. Smith was one of the few performers to earn the Triple Crown of Acting.

On ageing

In 2016, Smith told NPR that as a character actor, rather than a "dish", she was able to age into roles as mothers and grandmothers while still developing her talents instead of losing them. The interviewer noted that Smith had, in fact, been called "an undeniable dish" by a reviewer while starring on Broadway in the 1960s."

Won the Oscar for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. Great film & performance.

Just a few years after Julie Andrews won for Poppins.
Andrews is a year younger but almost 90 herself (she looks good though).
Of course Andrews is a one off.
Maggie Smith was a jolie-laide looks-wise
Always reminded me a bit of Bette Davis
