68 or 69 years old. Not the easiest guy to tolerate or agree with at times, but a heck of a writer. Excellent books.

He made a ton of money on watching and talking and writing sports. What a great professional life this dude lived.
Damn, sorry to hear this. Enjoyed several of his books. Just read one last year that I had in my house for a while about guys trying to hang on in the minors and majors because of their love of the game. Too much depressing obituary news lately.
