Its been a few weeks and it looks like we hit a bottom. The futures market found a bottom a couple of days after my last post and are now up 38% in the last 2 weeks. It hasn't hit the physical market yet, but "it's coming." The mills have all curtailed production to ride out the drought. Old lumber and OSB prices are likely a distant memory. This is the new bottom.

The flooding from Ida seems to have missed most major mills and may slow down some housing production in the short term, but long term, its just going to throw one more log on the fire. Ruckus... Call around to see if you can get your framing package locked in now. Many yards will give you 30-90 days of price lock.
