OT question on mesh routers.

Is the modem/main router okay in the basement? And do the mesh satellites have as good of speed as the main router? Currently my router/only router is in the living room, but router isn’t reaching bedrooms or parts of basement well.
I ask on a gameday because my tv service is over YouTube TV! Thanks

Ideally you’d want it as close to centered in your home as possible, but that’s not always going to be an option.
If you live in a ranch you’re probably fine, but a 2-story would be sketchy upstairs.

Access off the mesh point will always be slower unless you connect the 2nd mesh point via Ethernet, which I highly recommend.
