OT:Question for smokers

I just called my friend that used to smoke for 30 years and asked him the question. His answer: "You don't even think about it. You just do it. Kind of like scratching your nuts." Now we know.

Got me thinking, why do dog owners let their mutts **** on their neighbors' lawns?

Why do some smokers feel it is ok to throw their cigarette butts on the ground?

1) is it because it small so it's not noticeable to anyone else?
2) is it because its mostly just paper/tobacco plant and being eco friendly you're just putting nature back in its place?
3) is it ok, because you first set it on fire so it will burn itself up and there won't be anything remaining?
4) is it ok, because you threw it out your car window while going 70mph so when it hits the highway friction will disintegrate it?
5) you just don't give a shat?
6) or something I overlooked?

I have wondered this for a while and I'm not a smoker, so I don't know if this is common acceptable practice or a few bad apples making the majority of the mess out there.

Could someone shed some light on this?

Glad you posted this. It bugs the hell out of me how just about all smokers do this . They seriously have no clue .

Right up there with clipping your toes in the living room as an ex-roommate did. Disgusting and unbelievable that he was so unaware. Smokers holding their cigarettes away from them at arms length between drags so that it is closer to people who are not smoking than themselves. But it is so cool.

Despite what like two guys who didn't know what they were talking about said, the correct answer is: let him **** on the hell patch and clean it up to the best of your ability. Now if it's diarrhea, pray for imminent, hard rain.

A better question is why some owners don't clean up after their dog at all, even if it dooks in the middle of the sidewalk or trail. That's even worse than tossing your butt on the ground.

Couple of weeks ago I was sitting in traffic behind a Prius. They had a bumper sticker that said "Save the planet... drive a Prius!" That's when I saw the driver toss the cigarette butt out of the window.

Prius drivers are the absolute worst. Saw one the other day with a sticker that read "illegal immigrant". Obviously some kind of prick.
