Any way to let us know who the serial down voters are like how FB, Twitter, Instagram tell you who liked/disliked posts? It'd probably cut it down by half. TIA for the down votes.

I couldn't care less whether somebody upvotes or downvotes.

Nor do I care who it is.

Anybody that worries about this sort of thing needs to grow up and become an adult.

Nailed it. I had no idea there was even a way to see it. Nor do I even care to find out what that way is.

- I have no idea why anyone would care about the up/down vote. It screams of insecurity- on both sides of the equation.

- I never looked at it until a few weeks ago when another poster mentioned how many downvotes I get. Now I look sometimes and laugh every time. I get downvoted for posts where there is a link to an article that compliments MSU sports. I get downvoted for saying the exact same thing that others in a thread say who have upvotes. Its funny to me because of the first comment- it screams of insecurity for those that are voted on and those that vote, as if their vote will matter to the person.

- Why is the up/down vote even a feature? Was this board really missing that before? In 2012, was anyone posting and wishing they could see how many people like or dislike their posts?

- For all those who like to up/down vote, why wouldnt you want to see all those who vote each way? If the feature is important enough to use as a way to publicly support or shame the poster, why wouldnt you want to show and see all those who support or shame each post?




Ive said it before and it bears repeating- this place has gone soft. It started long ago with sponsors and banning a single 17ing word.
